Rammstein were mega last night. Would go again like a shot if I could.
Not sure what the merch problem is though. Nothing for sale inside the venue, a massive queue outside for the official stand, and not enough stock according to one of the stewards I spoke to. Seems odd when bands need to maximize all and any income streams these days.
Interesting German mindset at work too. Other than techs uncovering equipment just before Rammstein went on, not a roadie to be seen on the stage from the time that the gates opened at 5, so everything was already ready, and nothing other than Rammstein music played over the PA or by the support act ladies!
Disappointed in myself, but we cried off Rammstein on Sunday the 26th June in Coventry. Lost the money on the tickets too. Having been at Green Day on Friday 24th June, and not getting home to Bournemouth until late on Saturday it was all just too much. I definitely wouldn't have booked those two gigs so close in date and in different cities, so it was down to the rearranged dates as much as anything. And my wife had had surgery to correct bunions on both feet so was in pain with very limited mobility. We discussed which gig to go to at length and despite having seen Green Day multiple times and Rammstein never, she still wanted to see Fall Out Boy and Green Day. The Rammstein tickets had been booked for my son to go really, but with the show delayed he's taken a job in Japan in the meantime. I think we should have been able to resell our tickets but my wife reckons there was no official way to do this and she's too much of a goodie-two-shoes to sell them elsewhere "because what it the people who buy them get refused entry with our named tickets?" Being honest with ourselves, though, it would probably have been tough on us if we were both young and fit. As it was, it looks like I caught a dose of Covid while in London so even better reason not to have gone now. Sad because it might have been my last chance to see them in the UK. You can never guarantee getting tickets when they go on sale and will they tour the UK again? Sorry to anyone who didn't get to see them and would have - but it was just too late (for us) to get our heads around selling them late on Saturday/early on Sunday. If we'd have been closer who knows? We may have gone, but couldn't face the prospect of the return trip from Bournemouth without a few days to recover after our London trip...Not sure what the merch problem is though. Oh and we have another comedy gig and front 242 next week and prodigy the week after. It's like everyone just went f*ckit, covids over, let's do a gig.
Oh and +1 to the stacked quote above re: merch. Makes no sense, I certainly wouldn't queue like that on principle!

chilli peppers in glasgow tonight…… cancelled. gutted
Aye, my lad and his mate drove up from Southampton.2 days off work, £500 hotel bill, £200 fuel bill... They're not to happy.
Gutted GnR cancelled though - sounds like Axl was having issues.
So Rival Sons at Kentish town Wednesday night would take some beating,so Jerry Cantrell at shepherds Bush Thursday just did,jam packed, mental night obviously Alice in chains tunes raised the roof, brilliant two nights, dunno why anyone bothers with stadium stuff like GnR, nothing like the atmosphere

Just got tickets for Jesus Jones in Newcastle in September. Should be a good gig.
I'm seeing them tonight at Readipop Festival in Reading (unsurprisingly). Also saw them last summer at Camper Calling, really good. Mike Edwards has kept himself in great shape for a bloke in his early to mid-50's, not sure what his off-stage hobbies/sports/interests are but he looks like a racing snake!
Started off like this,n got louder until rooster at the end...well didn't need a pa

G n R were bloody late Friday!!!! Right joke
G n R seem to always be late - it's an Axl trait! Saw them years ago in Liverpool on a Sunday night and the show didn't finish until after 2am on Monday.
I really wanted to see them again after Slash rejoined but couldn't bear putting up with Axl's antics again.
Still I saw the Stones in Hyde Park last Sunday and it was a really special event.
I hope I'm as fit as Sir Mick when I'm 79.

Geez, you and me both, if only. Saw the Stones as well and they’re just timeless.I hope I'm as fit as Sir Mick when I'm 79.
Just in from Pearl Jam - what a band, fantastic evening. Working on Mrs ABZ to go again tomorrow.
