Nice one, I'd get tickets for the Apollo but can't get that night off. I have managed to get tickets for Buzzcocks (who are also down to one original band member) at the Academy though.
I'm trying to persuade myself to get a ticket for Hugh Cornwell in March. I haven't seen him since he left, don't know much of his (prolific) solo output, not quite sure. I saw the Buzzcocks when we used to have a local venue, and when Pete Shelley was still with us, and very much enjoyed it, but the sound was terrible and it was a pretty short set.

Quite a bit already lined as per usual; although several cancellations already which is annoying. It would appear numerous US artists are just going to tour there this year and a couple of others have cancelled UK legs of tours which is frustrating. Will add as & when

Jan 1st - Glitterbox club all dayer at Printworks - not a gig but starting the year with the right intentions

10th Jan - Aaron Frazer (singer & writer form Durand Jones & the Indications) - CANCELLED!
22nd Jan - birthday tribute to Frankie Knuckles - Jazz Cafe - really good live rendition of some classic house tunes
25th Jan - Lady Blackbird - Roundhouse Camden (CANCELLED)
28th Jan - Miseducation - Jazz cafe - rendition of Lauryn Hill's brilliant album (not her performing as I'd still be sat waiting for her to turn up, the crazy

21st - Ruby Turner at Ronnie Scott's
25th Another big club night at Printworks - La Discotheque

Disclosure - Heaven - they are doing 3 gigs at progressively larger venues, managed to get some for the smallest
Lee Fields - Islington Assembly Hall - classic old blues/soul singer

Attended Bluedot a few years ago (I live 10 minutes away) at its inauguration. Maybe it was the second one...anyway Australian Pink Floyd and Hawkwind were on the bill. an excellent night, but lots of bikers, hippies and drugs changed the nature of the festival from genteel Cheshire based family and sandwiches on the lawn type thing to a proper fezzie. laugh After that the acts changed in genre slightly... .

Alice Cooper + The Cult. Taking my 11yr old niece to her first concert. Mine was Blondie at the age of 13 at The Free Trade Hall Manchester.

last time (2019) it was Hot Chip, Kraftwerk & New Order! Prior to that was similarly electronic in style (Gary Numan, Crazy P, Chemical Brothers); hard to imagine what appears to be a family festival full of leather clad bike gangs! smile

Had to cancel my Stereo MCs gig in Reading.

I was really looking forward to it, but the latest date clashed with something else (unrelated to music) that has priority.

For once, I’m hoping a gig is rearranged!

Behaviour was generally good, the haze of cannabis was so thick night vis goggles were needed to see the stage. I actually went to the Chemical Brothers night for a spot of dancing. It was a good night but totally different in nature!

Only booked Ghost at the 02 London in April.
Can’t wait, it will be the first time I’ve seen them. I’ve just turned 46 but feel 16 years old again!

Likewise, my other half got them for me for Xmas. A band I've listened to for the last 9 years or so and not had a chance to see live.

I'd have loved to see them play a smaller venue like Brixton but they've exploded over the last couple of years. Suspect it'll be an epic show.

It's great to be looking at possible gigs again after a two-year hiatus.

Currently have WASP at Manchester Academy in April and Hard Rock Hell's AOR weekend also in Manchester in June (with Dan Reed Network, Midnite City musicbounce and Steelheart, amongst others).

Considering taking my Dad to see Deep Purple for his 70th. I have to say though, after looking online, Ian Gillan does sound like he struggles.

How could I forget Tool? Good job you reminded me or that could've been an expensive miss... So, hopefully I've got:

Paradise Lost - KK's Steel Mill (Feb)
Therapy? - KK's Steel Mill (March)
Tool - NEC (May)
Anthrax - O2 Academy Birmingham (Sept)
Damnation Festival - Ministry headlining - Manchester (Nov)
Pitchshifter - KK's Steel Mill (Nov)
Finally got to a show last night. Paradise Lost were amazing! Cracking set and a great venue as well. Not been before but it's cool.

Unfortunately another one has fallen off. Pitchshifter in November has gone. Therapy? next at KK's and I can't wait! It was great being back at a live show!

Update: At The Gates have been added to Damnation. They'll be playing the entire 'Slaughter of the Soul' album, which is amazing news for me as it's a classic! I've not seen them since they were touring 'Terminal Spirit Disease', so I can't wait for that either!

Impressed with the amount of metal people are going to!!

Gojira
Rammstein
Limp Bizkit
Sepultura
Machine Head + Amon Amarth
Lamb of God

Also desperately want to see Ozzy but only if he is fit and well enough.
Toyed with Napalm Death in Manchester next month but it's on a Wednesday - might still go.
++loads of tribute acts (the Metallica tribute Metal Militia are fabulous and highly recommended).

Just generally looking back to getting into it all again even though I'm an ageing millenial!

Not sure he'll ever improve on where he's at now, a life of decadence is catching up with him fast.

Some cracking shows to look forward to there! Napalm are always worth it IMO. I'm going to see them in Brum next year.

Within Temptation/Evanescence moved again to Autumn (fingers crossed). Next gig booked is therefore Rammstein at Cardiff.

Looking to pick up Geoff Tate and WASP as well but will book nearer the time.

After 4 years of waiting, I'd be amazed if the Ozzy tour went ahead but would love to see Ozzy and Zakk Wylde.

Luckily, I went to Black Sabbath in 2017.

Just picked up a ticket (and CD) to see "Wet Leg" do something (a CD launch gigette, I think) in Kingston Upon Thames.

Meanwhile, I'm off to see "London Calling", a Clash tribute band, on Friday.
