Went to Progress one night to see Tall Paul (I think it was Tall Paul… was a long time ago and large quantities had been consumed). He didn’t show so they roped in a techno DJ I’d never heard of… 3 hours of THUMP THUMP THUMP… no tunes…fk me!

I started DJ'ing as a teenager in the late 90's which was pretty much peak Trance so have had a love for it ever since. I rarely do a Trance mix these days, but the last one I did was a classics set that some of you may like

Dont forget now, melodic techno is now a thing. Alledgedly.

Basically trance for people who cant admit they like trance.

Platipus Records Volume 2

https://www.discogs.com/release/12247760-Various-P...

Oh oh oh, what's this on the album as track one?
Its first release in the UK in 1995...

Some track by some bloke called Miles.

All of the Platipus Records albums were amazing Trance.
Libra and Taylor
Union Jack
Art of Trance
Etc

Your sin is forgiven… particularly as you posted Age of Love which I haven’t heard for what seems like a life time… that track was the bridge from Acid House to Trance for me… House -> Jack -> Acid -> Trance

Then full circle back to classic Chicago/NY house.

Talking of lifetimes, these 2 were from a time i'd just moved to London and so i had to go to Cyberdog in Covent Garden and buy a funky T shirt laugh
Fabric and Turnmills were good but SE1 under London Bridge arches was fking amazing.

happy times, bursting with energy!

Ahhh, that last one, Ratty - Sunrise.

I used to play a smallish trance night back in the day. I specifically remember this as being the first time i realised id really taken the crowd with me, just finished mixing it in, looked up and it was all going off. Those were the days cloud9
