Don't know if been mentioned yet, but the bassline to Guns of Brixton is what got me into The Clash when I was younger.
Also I got into RHCP because of their cover of high ground. That intro bass just messed me right up, I started to learn the bass because of that. Unfortunately I didn't end up going that far with it.
