AA Williams - Glasgow, May
Alter Bridge, Edinburgh, June
Muse - Glasgow, June
Bruce Springsteen, Milan, July
Bloodstock Festival, Derbyshire, August
Damnation Festival, Manchester, November

There'll be a whole heap added to November and December once the typical gig rush gets announced, post summer festival season, smile
I went to Damnation last year and it was great! Not such a great line up for me personally this year, so I think I'll give it a miss. The venue was really good IMO as well. Hope you enjoy it!

Bloodstock looks ace this year (as it usually does)!

Since I've just booked Obituary at the Asylum in Birmingham for August this year, the rest of my 2023 looks like this:

Carcass - June - Asylum, Birmingham - can't wait! Not seen Carcass since the 1990s!
Iron Maiden - July - NIA, Birmingham
Biohazard - August - KK's Steel Mill, Wolverhampton
Obituary - August - Asylum, Birmingham

Carcass is a couple of weeks and I can't wait!

Going to see Nouvelle Vague in Southampton next year, but I've also booked to see Glenn Tillbrook in a pre-Glastonbury warm up gig in June.

Love Nouvelle Vague and have seen them a few times. I'm just waiting to see if they add more dates in this part of the country next year.

went to see Four Tet last night at Ally Pally.

electronic DJ/producer.... the USP for this gig is the lighting system from Squidsoup; basically the majority of the hall had hanging lights which created an amazing show to accompany the music. Very clever and a fab night if you like this genre.

Just bagged tickets for The Boxer Rebellion in Leeds in October. I'm absolutely buzzing for this one. I saw them at Brudenell with the brilliant Victores at Sea a few years ago and haven't been to a gig as good since.

Added a few more:

Warrington Runcorn New Town Development Plan: Hackney
Tangerine Dream: Portsmouth
Suede: Portsmouth

Seen WRNTDP and Suede already this year but they were both too good not to go and see again. Really like Tangerine Dream's latest line up and saw them in a small place in Southampton last year, be great to see the full "show" on a bigger stage.

Got Rival Consoles at the Barbican this Saturday which should be great, saw an outstanding A Winged Victory for The Sullen gig there a couple of weeks ago.

Cleo Sol last night at Royal Albert Hall. Excellent British soul singer; show had much more production than I expected from a relative newcomer along with her superb voice, a guest appearance from Michael Kiwanuka topped it off for me.

having had good feedback from friends I've decided to take my 21 year old niece to see Beyonce on Tuesday at Spurs stadium. Ridiculously expensive and I'm not a fan of stadium gigs, but she's not really done gigs so I need to start doing stuff like this as she's my god daughter, possible sole beneficiary and its the sort of stuff her dad won't/can't do for her.

Lewis Capaldi q and a and Album promo last week. Enjoyed that even though it last about 40 minutes (after queuing for two hours and then standing at the front holding 3 12 inch records for 1 hour)

Just got back from Arctic Monkeys. Absolutely no idea what was going on there but my girls wanted to go and they enjoyed themselves.

We arrived at 4pm and I bought a warm Amstel and a Vodka and Coke for my eldest. £18. It ate away at me the entire evening and I was still cross with myself during the encore 7 hours later. When did that happen to prices….

bar prices are ridiculous at some venues; Wembley Arena the other week was high enough. Will be interested to see what I get robbed of at Spurs stadium tonight. please tell us it was at least a double vodka!

I will give the O2 in Greenwich its due there. Since it's got a shopping centre and eateries built around it the cost of a pre-concert meal/drink is no more exorbitant than anywhere else in London

Tottenham Hotspur stadium drink prices are much more reasonable than many other venues in London.

Price of a pint of beer still starts with a 5

£7 for a pint (lager and/or IPA) & £12 for chicken noodles (much smaller portion than 2022) at Slamdunk (North/Leeds) at the weekend.

For context, £6.55 for a pint of (ste) IPA @ Tuffnell Park Dome in London last month & £7.10 for a Heineken (!) at last West Ham home game.

Kraftwerk aren't playing in the UK on this tour, but they're playing Limerick and Dublin.
Would've loved to see them in Limerick and take the whole family over, but other hols / plans put paid to that but my wife suggested I go to Dublin. Bought two tickets... then booked a hotel. Nothing cheap available.

But I've since decided it's a expense I can do without, so cancelled the hotel. Didn't get round to booking flights.
Tickers up for sale on Ticketmaster.

That'll teach me to plan a gig in another country on impulse.

thankfully the Beyonce gig was rather good.....

happy niece as first gig experience was an off the scale production; really was above and beyond anything I've seen and she really does have a great set of pipes.

Certainly not one for everyone, but my group thoroughly enjoyed it; an exceptional 'pop' gig.

didn't really get to check the bar situation as a couple of accidents leading to a typical North London traffic disaster meant we got there as she was coming on stage so only got to buy 3 diet cokes!

that stadium deserves a better football team though smile

Springsteen at Murrayfield last night amazing, all the better for being right at the front, seeing the interaction up close is great.
