Watched Pete Tong doing Ibiza classics with an orchestra in Manchester last weekend.
Seen it before and this time had seats very close to the stage.
However didn't enjoy it as much. Guest singers didn't have great vocals except the Swedish House mafia singer at the end.
They have added a few new songs that for me aren't really ibiza inspired, more cheesy nightclub so doesn't have the seem feel.
It was OK but won't be in a rush to see it again.
Totally agree, this was our 4th time and although I enjoyed it I was disappointed it wasn't as good as previous years.

Not sure we'll bother again, however I am looking forward to a Dacadance night at Birmingham Town Hall with Alison Limerick, Jeremy Healy & Alistair Whitehead amongst others!

didn't book this year as felt it was going as per how you stated last couple of years. Shame as it used to be a good night out

Last gig of the year this coming Tuesday - Ice Cub, Cypress Hill and The Game! smile

I've had a cracking year, gigs wise, from Sleep Token at the Barrowlands back in January through to the above (unless it's st, but let's hope not), it has been a belter!

Saved the best till last this year.

5th time I've seen Gogol Bordello last night and they're still the best live act I've ever seen.

I’ve just got a ticket for Tuesday as well.

Will probably just stick around for Cypress Hill though.

Being old and on earlies the next day don’t mix.

Till Lindeman and therapy? this week.

Last time we saw till with a side project was Feb 2020 and we had the worst colds but braved it out regardless, then a couple of weeks later some cretins in charge decided to try to shut the world down for some asinine reason.

Madness was disappointing. The music was fine, but live the entertainment factor just wasn't there. Strange they've gone on this long with such an uninvolving act. Mind you there's plenty of bands good on disc but lacking something on stage.

That is exactly how I felt about them 40 years ago!

You're right though, I felt similarly about Bastille who I saw last year.

I went to the Manchester show and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ice Cube is one of my favourite rappers of all time and I always liked Cypress Hill but I wouldn't have put them in front of Ice Cube. First time seeing both of them live and I thought Cypress Hill's set was the best of the lot, DJ Lord and Eric Bobo really help elevate Cypress Hill. If you're a fan of hip-hop at all and haven't seen them live yet, do it while you still can.

Not to take anything away from Ice Cube as he and W.C were still great, pretty long setlist too which was awesome to see. Honorable mention for D12 who stepped in to replace Game, thought they did a great job of getting the crowd going.

After a few weeks of gigs involving The Prodigy, Ice Cube and Cypress Hill, it's going to be hard to top those. I fancy going to see Peter Hook but it's apparently an intimate luck of the draw ticket raffle thing so may not even get to see him.

manage to snag 2 tickets to see Sault on Thursday. For those saying 'who?' that is a very fair question.

i've no idea.......

a collective of British soul artisits who haven't revealed their identity, have released 7 albums (5 on 1 day a year ago), only have 7 posts on insta in total, 4 of which related to this gig.

only said it was happening in December a week ago. said tickets would go on sale this morning for Thursday without prior warning of venue and sold out in about 5 minutes.

So i'm off to Drumsheds in North London on Thursday and have no idea what to expect

should be; I've already seen Cleo Sol, who is known to be one of the singers twice this year and she was excellent. Just one of those that i have such high hopes for and hope it doesn't disappoint

missed Suede this year (:

They were fantastic again in Portsmouth last night, second time for me this year too (saw them in Southampton in March).

I'm sure they just keep getting better live, first saw them in the 90's and I'm positive they weren't as good as now. The new music is brilliant too, hoping they've got a few more years like this.

I took my 17 y/o daughter, the world's biggest Suede fan. I thought this was just an old fart thing but on the way home, we both said they were too loud, to the extent we couldn't recognise a couple of songs until they got to the chorus!

Quite like Desperate Journalist too although I don't think they've got enough tunes or stage presence to make much of an impact. But Be kind is a decent tune.

I think too many Mogwai gigs have dulled my hearing somewhat so thought they got the sound just about spot on, my wife thought it was pretty loud though so you may well be right.

Feel a bit ashamed to say we didn't watch Desperate Journalist as I saw an old mate in the bar beforehand and got chatting, they sound Ok actually in that clip and I probably would have enjoyed them.

Gregory Porter last night at Royal Albert Hall as part of an Xmas treat for gf. Mix of Xmas stuff and some of his own big tracks giving a nice overall evening

He does put on a very good show and for anything Xmas it must be the best venue.

Ah I forgot all about that. Would’ve liked to have seen Cypress Hill.

Interested to hear what this was like. I heard about the gig and marked it down as one that would be impossible to buy a ticket for, so didn’t even bother looking into it any further. I’ve heard quite a bit of them on 6Music over the last couple of years and been impressed. I had no idea that they had released 7 albums though.
