Gig plans - 2024
Discussion
Public Service Broadcasting have announced a 32 date tour in October/November 2024, exactly half of which is in the UK.
Tickets go on sale from 10am Friday although some venues are selling now, eg Bristol Beacon if you have a membership with them.
Hoping to get to see them in Bristol, Cardiff, London and Coventry this time around. New album out imminently.

I booked in for slipknot too.
Also booked in for the dream theater 40th tour at the o2 in October. Can't wait for this one with MP back!
I got tickets in the preorder for DT My first gig in years and I’ve never managed to catch Dream Theater live before so looking forward to that one! Also booked in for the dream theater 40th tour at the o2 in October. Can't wait for this one with MP back!

On a different note, went to see John Coope Clarke last week in Edinburgh - fantastic night, and I’m not a poetry buff by any manner of means.
I saw him a few years ago as support to Squeeze (who sounded so bad, they walked off the stage in a huff). I thought he was quite good, for 10 minutes. Then I thought this is rubbish. GloverMart said:

Change of plan for me; I'm heading for Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds & Manchester and trying to combine with work so I can claw some money back.

Trying to work out the theme to the new album release - transport related I guess...

He was rubbish as a 'punk poet' back in the late 70s. That Salford drone really gets to you...
I did see an interview on the local news (North West Tonight), a few years ago, when he was quite funny, from memory, it was something like:Interviewer : "You've always been a Salford lad, has your heart always been here?"
JCC : "No, I buggered of to Essex as soon as I could"
Interviewer : "Erm, oh, ermm. ah. Well, you've never lost your accent"
JCC : "I know, and I've spent a bloody fortune on elocution lessons and I still can't get rid of it".
Just got a cheap ticket for Orbital at Southampton on Thursday, saw them a few times last century but not since strangely. They're doing the Green and Brown albums so setlist will be pretty similar I imagine as back then
Also recently booked to add to the others:
Public Service Broadcasting: Roundhouse
Max Cooper: Brighton

Was sorely tempted with PSB at the Roundhouse but am already going a few times elsewhere so will re-consider. Supposed to be a decent venue too. Also recently booked to add to the others:

It's a really great venue and been quite a few times, Brighton Dome was closer (another cracking venue) but as a previous post mentioned no matter where you go it feels like a small gig.If you've never been I can highly recommend it.
