“Squaring the Circle” on Netflix. The story of Hipgnosis, the design studio that did some of the most iconic album artwork ever. Not music per se, but closely related and features lots of band members. Well worth a watch.

“Searching for Sugarman” is a fab documentary about an American musician who was unbeknown to him famous in South Africa. He passed away (allegedly) and two guys set out to find out who he really was and if he was dead.

Probably a poor description ^ but from memory it was along those lines!

I enjoyed "Cobain : Montage of Heck" - as you might expect the story of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana.....

The rise of velvet revolver .

Funny yet at the same time it must of been a mix of emotions for the rest of the band flipping from amazement at the singers on stage prowess to frustrations as his erratic behaviour made him actually making the gig a gamble .

I bought it on Amazon - looks like it’s rentable from there for £3.50 - well worth it in my view.

I’ll have to look for that - R.I.P Scott Weiland - one of the greatest singers of my generation!

Searching for Sugarman about an American singer called Rodriguez and how he was, essentially, bigger than almost anyone else in apartheid-era South Africa but everyone thought he was dead is a brilliant film.
I've watched this many times. Sixto died recently, he was a fascinating character. His music was excellent too. Superb film.

"Basically, Johnny moped" is properly nuts and well worth a watch, it tells the story of one of the characters of punk and the sometimes famous people who came into contact with him. It's very entertaining in a WTF way.

Has anyone watched the Madness doco? They put the first episode on YouTube and it was one of the best things I’ve watched.

Only problem was a streaming service I didn’t have bought the rights so I’ve never seen any more.

I did and had the same problem although Ep3 was up on YT when I watched it so still missing the middle one. The beginning of the band really showed you how they stayed together so long.

There was another Suggs documentary on around the same time that covered much of the same ground.

Episode 3 is still up, it's just episode 1 was so good I didn't want to spoil it by only seeing 2/3rds of it. I love all those old videos of cities post war, it's so different to what we have now and all that history is lost.

I found Who killed the KLF a good watch, it left me unable to decide if they were geniuses, absolutely mental or both!
