I was playing the 'Red Album' by the Beatles in my cab yesterday, and got a lot of positive comments. My tips seemed bigger when I had Day Tripper on...

I was thinking about different kinds of music I could play in the car. I like a bit of Jamie Callum style jazz but I don't know much about the genre. Then you've got the motown stuff and even classical pieces.

Can anyone suggest some good stuff to have a listen to? I'm an uneducated punk fan at the moment!

I know some people don't like, but in a similar vein to the RED ablum, the LOVE album is pretty good too.

Or, though not excatly what you're talking about, what about the new Mark Ronson album: Version.
That should go down fairly well.
Tunes that people already know from somewhere else, all mashed up in an instresting Jazz Fusion kind of way. Good cheerful summer stuff!

The album is doing the biz in the charts, so might even make you seem down with the kids...

...gotta be better than the ubiquitous Jones/Cullum/Blunt/Rice/Powter middle class whinies we've endured in lifts and at dinner parties over the past few years.

Just couple of thoughts.

I'd recommend

'On an Island' - David Gilmour
Michael Buble swing stuff
2nd vote for Mark Ronson
itunes compilation of laidback summery hits
