Michael Shrieve - Santana. Woodstock - Soul Sacrifice.

Just.... awesome.

And he was just 20 at the time, IIRC.

It's got to be Bonham for me.

Of living drummers I rate Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez and Matt Cameron is a superb rock drummer

Yeah Bonham.

However, that drummer in the Arctic Monkeys plays with some commitment.

He's got to be the hardest working drummer in rock and roll, top work.

Bonham was possibly the most powerful and the most recognisable and my favourite. Danny Carey is astonishing live

HA HA HA well your ALL wrong!

THE best most inventive, technical and innovative drummer in the world is of course,

NEIL PEART of RUSH

Whom i'll be watching again tonight at Wembley Arena for the forth time on this Snakes & Arrows UK Tour. (Have been to Glasgow, Newcastle & Sheffield already, with Brum & Manchester to do after tonight)

ROLL THE BONES.

How about these:-

Mikkey Dee - Motorhead
Joey Jordison - Slipknot
Dave Lombardo - Slayer
Bill Ward - Black Sabbath

And the best young drummer I've seen for a while:-

John Fred Young - Black Stone Cherry

Lars Ulrich biglaugh

Some people have a great sense of humour.

Some awesome drummers:

Ken Schalk (Candiria) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHhY6v39NOc
Flo Mournier (Crytopsy) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ayqcCrSXfo
Bard Faust (Emperor)
Jimmy Kyle (Acid Bath)
Igor Cavalera (Ex Sepultura) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkJniOCO7Is

Plus obviously Bonham , Bill Ward, Iain Paice etc.
