I did, although I don't think they actually did anything as all the setting up would have gone on before the audience came in. I think it was purely a nod to when you hear an orchestra tuning before a performance.

Worked for me though!

Gig was awesome. Sat very close to the front, a bit off centre but not so much as to spoil the sound. The massive angled mirror above the stage gave a great overhead view of the guys working on their synths. JMJ was like a mad scientist - running from one synth to another, playing music, pressing buttons, twirling knobs, looking like he was conducting a really complex scientific experiment and had to keep adjusting things here, there and everywhere to stop it all going bang... managing to stay just about in control! The sound was fantastic - I loved the tuning-up - Irrespective of whether it was for effect and the real tuning had been done earlier or not - And I loved the way he spoke to the audience for a few minutes first, it made the whole thing feel very personal.

The chain incident was a bit worrying - I had a great view of it from my seat - After it unravelled it seemed to settle down a bit and the start thrashing about again. JMJ remarked (refering to the chain), that the show hadn't started yet! I'm glad it didn't hit him or any of his instruments.

Here's a photo that someone took before the curtains went up. I've indicated where I was sat...
