One of mine, Taylor NS62CE Nylon Electro-acoustic.
Which is actually up for sale at the moment. Photo from my iPhone, hence the quality.

Thought I had already posted on here but seems not, must have been the last guitar pics thread
I'll have to find the pic of them hanging on the wall (on old puter) but for now here's my new toy. Recently switched from guitar to bass to play in a mate's band, bought a Warwick "Rock Bass" (ie a cheap Warwick lol)
Sorry, only pic I have is with me grinning like a goose, I'm loving this playing in a band lark, (as opposed to playing by myself) should have done it years ago
it would appear that your Warwick is not too dissimilar to mine!,I'll have to find the pic of them hanging on the wall (on old puter) but for now here's my new toy. Recently switched from guitar to bass to play in a mate's band, bought a Warwick "Rock Bass" (ie a cheap Warwick lol)

altho' mines not quite a proper Warwick, think its a rep of the Thumb Bass, but it sure plays nice!
keep thinking toward a P bass....

I say chap, I think you will find that the preferred language in this most excellent forum is The Queen's English. If you would be so kind as to translate, I am sure someone will be along shortly to assist with your enquiry.Cheerio

Made by Martin Petersen of The Gallery in Camden Town. I can't praise Martin's skill highly enough. Just look at the gorgeous veneering between the (Wenge) body and the (Amboina) front:
Heres my effort, nothing compared to half the stuff on here but im chuffed!! apart from the westfield, dont ask about that :P
Westfield strat....of some sort! was my first guitar and not worth anything so no point getting rid of it.. and yes thats electrical tape holding the pickups in!
And my beloved dean razorback DB, may not be the proper thing but its still brilliant!
Line6 Spider III 150w amp, love it too
About as "artsy" i could get with an iphone and two mintues for a photo!
Been playing for about 6 years but probably only last four have been seriously learning to play

I quite like your Westfield Strat too Rod. Looks like fun!

OH MY GOD. ( Throws blanket over the Warwick ) That is just the best looking work of art I have ever seen.
It is rather pretty, isn't it? I got it about 12-13 years ago (serial number 012) when I decided to spend a bit of my inheritance on something beautiful that I could really be proud of. Guitarist magazine had featured some of Martin Petersen's basses a few months before and had raved about them, so the decision was easy. The great thing about getting a custom guitar is being able to choose what it's going to look like - the possibilities are endless and I doubt if any two of Martin's guitars look the same. Bung in Bartolini triple-coil pickups and a piezo bridge and the tonal possibilities are just amazing. His home page is here (prices have gone up a bit since I got mine )
I got the Jazz on Saturday having got fed up waiting for the Ricky that I'd had a deposit on for the last year (apparently the waiting time for a Ricky is now at least 2 1/2 years). Now I've just got to decide whether to get some "Vintage" J pickup replacements (and maybe a Badass bridge).

Wow, that is absolutely stunning. If I am ever fortunate enough to be able to commission a custom made guitar or have a crack at making my own I would love one just like that. Is the neck part of the body or has it been glued in? The lighter stripes appear to be one piece but are the darker parts the same bit of wood as the body? Either way it's fantastic.

The neck and body are all one piece (if you see what I mean). It looks glued in from the front, but that's just the ebony fingerboard facing that's been merged into the front. The body is wenge with maple striping and the front is amboina (a bit like bird-eye maple, but prettier).I quite like your Westfield Strat too Rod. Looks like fun!
Sorry for the forthcoming ramble.
Back in the day, when I was 18 and my step-brother was 17, I was just starting out learning to play the guitar. My step-brother had been playing - at the time - for 10 years starting with Spanish classical. To say he was a decent guitarist is akin to saying Pope Benedict knows the odd parable or two from the bible. He was awesome, and he started giving me guitar lessons. 20 years later, I'm allright; average, if you will, as a guitarist, but still nowhere near the level that Mark was at age 17.
Anyway.
On his 18th birthday, my step-father bought Mark his guitar of choice.
It. Was. Gorgeous.
Crafted from solid wood, with an ebony fingerboard, a light flamed top, 1 humbucker and 2 single coils with a myriad of switching options, trem, and the quality feel; the weight of it! It was heavy, but perfectly balanced. And the action was other-worldly. Light, but with perfect intonation (it was professionally set up, though). Sensational.
Time moved on, as did Mark and I. I've played shoddy Russian SG replicas, tidy LP replicas, a nice Jellycaster, some incredible Ibanez's, and - now - my current axe (library pic posted elsewhere on this thread) a PRS.
But, over the last few weeks, I've been thinking about that guitar that Mark was bought on his 18th. The 'bay has nothing, and the web throws up less. The guitar in question is this:
Hohner SG Lion.
Sad, but true as Hetfield would say.
I think I need to find one......
Any ideas?

smiller: that's lovely flaming on that top. Wood is so gorgeous that it seems a shame to put an opaque lacquer on it sometimes.
gingerpaul: I still can't understand how anyone can make such perfect straight joins. If you look closely at the back view, you'll also see that the battery and electronics covers are the original wood - he's managed to cut that section out so finely that it can be difficult to remove the cover sometimes.
I'll see if I can take some more detailed pictures, but here's the headstock to be going on with (note the serial number):

The Gallery do some incredible custom work, and are great people to deal with .... Martin is a very very talented Luthier. They look after servicing and set-up on all my basses, can't recommend them highly enough for bass players out there..

I saw the covers were the original wood. How is that done? With a very small router bit? Is it milled out from the inside first? It is an excellent touch. gingerpaul said:
