I'm detecting a theme.... Nice guitar.
The theme... somehow .....is... a mixture of:Night verses
Tesseract
Downset
Depeche mode
Nova charisma
Comeback kid
Hail the sun
Sights and sounds
Vicente amigo
Mike dawes
Preston Reed.
Michael hedges
. I could go on all night
just to add.... after an hour or so playing it... good god it's an excellent guitar. the tonal clarity even on the biggest, wackiest chords is incredible... and when you go heavy it's HEAVY

Been playing my Gibson SG Special a lot since lockdown decided to pair it with it's Korean cousin I picked up for £100 to see if there's much between them, the verdict is YES the Gibson is lightyears ahead in tone and build quality but that's to be expected considering they are about half the price.
Some history to the Special it's a 2002 in cherry red which is a odd since most are faded or bare cherry. It's been all over the UK and Ireland having been the main guitar for the guitarist in a band called Furriers or Gurriers. The case looked like bomb disposal had been over it when I bought it about 7-8 years ago, the guitar itself still smells like a pub or smokey club.

How does the neck balance on the Gibson compare to the Epi?
Gibson is easier to play its a more evenly weighted guitar. The Epiphone actually feels slightly heavier but the neck doesn't feel as solid as the Gibson which is understandable considering it's made up from bits. Finally took a couple of shots of my new Guitar....
Thanks to some of you that posted on my Lockdown guitar required thread, I ended buying this from a dealer on Reverb, for a great price as well.
My last guitar was a Gibson LPJ , which I thought was pretty good.
I have to say, I actually think this is better. Its much nicer to handle, the neck is finished to perfection and its lighter as well, but still sustains forever.
Its a joy to play, and paired with my new THR10, gives me a big range of sounds, even more so as the guitar has coil taps on both pups, and now the THR app gives you 15 amps and 16 cabinets plus bypass, as well as onboard GFX, a noisegate and a compressor in the amp.....
Im loving it, and since I got it mid april, I think Ive only missed 3 nights when I didnt pick it up for an hour or two....
Epiphone Plus top Pro, Honeyburst......

What an awesome thread....convinced me to post for first time in years. Here are my beloveds:
Most favourite is the Suhr...amazingly versatile sounds and a joy to play. Closely followed by the PRS Paul’s Guitar (got a good price on it as it had some body chips from scrotes playing in store) - neck is a beauty. I always choose a guitar based on the neck....
The relic Strat just feels so good under the fingers and though I hate the concept of relics, this one forced a rethink.
The Eggle is a monster with hot pups and a bog oak fretboard. The Jem is super fast (but I’ll never buy another floating bridge). And the Lester was my first real guitar treat 20 years ago. Couldn’t afford the Standard so this is the Classic. Will never part with it!
