Lets look at our guitars thread

If I played one I would probably get comments about the Cockwomble playing the V.
A friend of mine has an Explorer, which feels really bulky to me from a very quick hold of it. Hope to have a proper play of it at some point. It suits him though for some reason, where as I'd just look stupid playing it.

The guitarist in the Wombles used to play a V.
Imagine being as accomplished a guitarist as Chris Spedding and that's the recognition you get.It would be interesting to know how he did from being in the Wombles and comparing that with what he got out of his work on War of the Worlds. That album did do rather well though, but was he on a percentage or just session fees...

I have two Gibson Explorers, one is full size, and is massive, the other is a limited edition Swamp Ash Explorer, which has a smaller body. The smaller body is much more sensible.A friend of mine has an Explorer, which feels really bulky to me from a very quick hold of it. Hope to have a proper play of it at some point. Me or Gazza285?
I'm at 10 electrics, but selling 2 (Tele and Gretsch), plus a Washburn electo/acoustic and Squier P bass. Nothing pointy though; I guess I'm quite conservative with my guitar choices since mostly are in the 'typical' colours such as a Cherry SG, Sunburst Les Paul, etc.

18 amps/40 guitars...wow.
I barely manage to keep on top of the ones I have including the two I've already polished up and put aside ready to sell.
Anyway, I made a start on refinish number 2. I wasn't intending to start so soon after finishing the Strat, but this Jaguar slipped out of my gig bag earlier this week after I failed to zip it up properly (still waiting for a hard case I ordered months ago ). Of course it landed on a hard floor rather than a soft mat a few inches further, so a big chunk of paint came off. At least the weather is nice as this needed to be done outside as I used a heat gun. I got a few burn marks on the wood due to impatience, but it's going to be a solid colour (Candy Apple red) anyway, so not a problem.
Front after sanding with P180/320, just needs a bit of the top horn routing tidying up to make more room for the 3 way switch I put there as it doesn't sit straight up/down otherwise:

I look after mine though, so refinishes are very rare...I barely manage to keep on top of the ones I have including the two I've already polished up and put aside ready to sell.

I did sell my first guitar, which I still regret, and I have sold the odd one or two that I didn't bond with, but after 34 years of playing, it is still less than two a year.
Storage is becoming an issue, I play in two bands.
One band has a permanent rehearsal room, there's a full Ampeg stack for guitar, a 2x15 and 4x10 stack for bass, and I have lent the rhythm guitarist another 4x12. I keep two basses and three guitars down there. There is a small store room, in which I have another 4x12, a Fender Deville 4x10 combo, a Marshall JTM600 combo, and a Trainwreck clone head.
The other band uses a rented room, but we can leave our gear there, so there's another 4x12, and a Laney Protube head there, plus a Crown power amp that I have lent the owner to run a vocal PA.
The rest are at home, apart from there are four guitars in my folks attic.
A list, but I'm not sure I will remember them all.

Wow (again!), that's some list.
I'm nearly 50 years of playing (I started about aged 7), but I only had one guitar until I was 30, then only two for another 10 years or so. It was only when I started going to Rock Project (evening college class) I really got back into it and of course by then the internet was around to tempt me with adverts and forums.
You're missing a Telecaster, probably others, but I can see it's keeping you up at night by the time of your edit.
EDIT: I missed you've got 2 already.
EDIT 2: Some one put this link up on another forum about Candy Apple Red painting. This is a guy who works at Fender Custom Shop. I'd love his gimble thing to spin mine round, but I also can't get over how quickly he moves to each coat. I'll wait a day between colours/clear myself.
