Nope, my other guitar is an ESP EC-1000 (basically their Les Paul version) and I specifically went for something that didn't have a locking trem because I lke to change tunings frequently (that sounds really pretentious, but just because I'll jam along to lots of different things). The ESP is perfect as is.

It's a likely candidate - they look cool and the pickup set in my Universe makes it just about the most versatile guitar I've got so a Jem could be just the ticket. Bit out of budget though...

Animal, I'm getting spooked. I've an EC-1000, I'm debating selling my 7 string as just not getting the use/bonding with it. Fancy something with a floyd again. Great taste hehe

I'm swaying towards a Jackon Rhoads of sorts. Ideally want a Dean ML to go with my Razorback but they're getting hard to find in good nick. Ideally fancy something that doesn't have EMG 81's to mix things up a bit.

The Schecter sun Valley super shredder is taking my fancy a lot. Sustainiac and some very funky paintjobs does appeal.

Oh come on - they're all completely, totally different! That's why you need them all. Probably a couple more too...

Yeah, the ESP's great! Mahogany body and neck with a flame maple top and ebony fingerboard so it's a substantial lump, and I love the Seymour Duncan pickups too. Plays much better than the Les Paul Studio I used to have so probably a keeper.

My wife got back in to doing her Art a few years back, so I can now use the comparison about her buying different paints, pastels, pens, paper, etc as different 'tools' to do the job. She actually does get it though ironically I've now got to the point where I'm selling things because I realise they aren't different enough to what I already have, or just aren't getting used. paperbag

If you get rid of one you'll find that you desperately need it soon after!

I guess it's a risk, but I play my self built Strat 99% of the time at home and for gigs/rehearsals, so I feel a little extravagant having another 14 to chose from, though now I've got most of them on the wall I can switch easier than before.

Here's my 80's Japanese Strat, plus confirmation that a Screwfix 470x600mm work platform is a perfect amp stand for a Fender Twin
