when ever i have my beautiful wife in the passenger seat... she's gripping the door handle in fear, squeeking and waving her other hand about... and everything else that distracts you out the corner of your eye
all because a lorry changed lane 1/2 mile ahead on the motorway...
dread to think what she'd be like a mountain pass!
Ahh, well I don't have that problem with mine, here she is in the passenger seat of my old Golf all because a lorry changed lane 1/2 mile ahead on the motorway...

Peter Kingsbery, of little known '80s group Cock Robin.
His vocal on this is spectacular:

Beniamino Gigli! He was amazing. Its a shame most of his recordings are limited by the technology of the time, but great that we have them at all. Of course, the better the technology was getting, the older the singer was...

Thom Yorke
Freddie Mercury
Pretty much covers it for me.
For a "pretty" male voice, I could listen to Jeff Lynn all day.

No question,... the finest singer to come out of England in thirty years..(And yes, I know he is a tt, and supports Man U), but what a voice...

I presume you mean best 'rock' vocalist. If so ...
Paul Rodgers and John Fogerty come to mind. Bruce Springsteen in full flight has an impressive set of pipes.
Did someone say Liam Gallagher? Surely not the one-octave-shouty-wannabe-Beatle who has worked out how to sing "I Am The Walrus" 12 different ways?

Paul Rogers and John Fogerty for sure.
Also Robert Plant, Rob Halford, Freddie Mercury.
Couldn't understand why Rob Halford was highly rated until I heard 'Priest do Johnny B. Goode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcXrcdEsWto
I think it all depends on ones 'mood' at the time when deciding on 'best singer'.
Bob Seger springs to mind at the moment.
If on the other hand, uf one had to judge on greatest range of voice, would have to nominate Russian singer Ivan Rebroth.

I can't believe no-one has mentioned . . . BRUCE DICKINSON!!!!!
(Who I am going to see with his merry band in July, for the first time ever!)
Was the best vocalist but hasn't been since '84. I don't understand what he did to himself when people like Halford and Dio have managed to keep things in shape.(Who I am going to see with his merry band in July, for the first time ever!)
