When I croak it I want The drugs don't work - The Verve if its a "medical" thing, if its a car crash then Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. Either way I want November Rain by Guns and Roses... the 9 minutes.. keep the buggers there!

Well in that case if I die at sea, I want Iron Maiden-Rime of the Ancient Mariner al1 14 epic minutes of it
I would have gone for Rod Stewart and I am Sailing!

This is omething I have already prepared and discussed.

In no particular order

Embrace - Ashes
Cafe Del Mar - Energy 52 (Micheal Woods remix)
Edward Elgar - Nimrod from Enigma Variations

I've always said that this list is subject to change, but apart from the addition of the Embrace track, it hasn't changed for a very long time.

I sat in the garden earlier, enjoying the sunshine, and was idly thinking, when my mum died 10 years ago, the poor girl was cremated, and as we followed the coffin into the crematorium I heard "My heart will go on" (aka Titanic theme by Celine Dion) playing over their inhouse music system. I can remember thinking "We are torching the poor thing, not drowning her!" And really had to suppress a giggle.

So any funeral/music stories or thoughts?
For my final goodbye I want "Old and Wise" by The Alan Parsons Project.

Over to you....
What a brilliant song, brings a lump to me throat every time I hear it.

I want to die as some sort of renegade rebellion leader, or something like that, then have the Clash - "I fought the law (and the law won)" playing as I'm lowered into my hole.

If I don't go out in such a blaze of glory, then I agree with whoever said Radiohead - How to dissapear completely. Should get the fkers crying! Also definitely want Videotape by Radiohead played.

When a good mate's stepdad died (of pancreatic cancer aged 42 frown) his funeral was accompanied almost entirely by recordings of his music. It made it so perfectly personal and unique to Russell... very sad too but I thought it was a great idea. He'd known he was dying so I wonder if he had a hand in the planning etc.
