I nominate "I Try" by Macy Gray.

It's got it all; passion, spirit, subtle sexuality and some great lyrics.

Your nominations, please.

Even though the song is amazing, Its about him stalking the girl. hmmmm Ahh well...

Ye the Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight is amazing, there are some amazing versions/covers of this song on . (he says sticking his neck out) maybe even be better than the original!

I know this song is like 10 minutes old, but Love in this club by usher is actually amazing, but made better by this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB0L0yR-7Yc

I'm Not In Love - 10CC

And yes, I'm aware that it probably isn't the quintessential love song, but it hits the spot for me.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - don't care who sings it really but Roberta Flack's version is the most well known.
