I was never a fan of the D50 when it first came out, prefered the JX10 Super Jupiter or the M1, I recently redicovered it though when I began playing the updated D50 engine in my V-Synth XT, so in some ways Im a new convert to such a great bit of kit. For some real late 80'S retro, definately get shopping on ebay and pick up a D550, and a Yamaha TX816, a great pairing!
I bought a D550 on eBay a couple of years ago, and had great fun with it.

But for ultimate retro and quality sounds (Particularly strings) I've still got a Sequential Circuits Prophet VS in the attic, which at some point, I will blow the cobwebs off, and give it an outing!

I have a Prophet VS also, it doubles up with the Jupiter 8 beautifuly for really lush pads and awesome strings :-) It's too good a synth to leave languishing in the attic!

I'm going to have to look up the re-working of Oxygene, hugely fond memories of the first time my dad let me listen to it - Sondek, Claymore amp, Stax headphones - awesome.

Loving his Teo & Tea album. Can easily how he's been so influencial in the dance/trance genre.

I'm from the Rick Wakeman school of thinking, lots of keyboards and kit. I am a software synth convert as well though, have an 18 DSP Creamware setup in my PC with the Minimoog, ARP Odyssey, SCI Pro One, and Prophet 12 (Prophet 5 with 12 voices) emulators specifically for the creamware system. Have Atmoshpere (waiting for my Omnisphere upgrade), Altered States, PPG, Chameleon, Reaktor as well.
Still love my hardware though, have the Prophet VS, Kurzweil K2600X, Kawai K5000, Korg Z1 18 Voice version, Microwave XT, Yamaha FS1R, Novation X Station, Virus TI, Roland V-Synth XT, MKS70 / PG800, MKS80 / MPG80, and JP8080. Dont think I could ever bring myself to just one master keybaord and all soft synths :-(

Hmmm, well I'm something of a lightweight here smile I only have an upright piano (over 100 years old so I win the old synth compo!), a Casio HT3000 bought for nostalgia (my keyboard at school), and a Roland D-20 given to me recently biggrin I do have Reason 4 on the computer though, and some great refills. I've got a load of sound kit for work that is worth a considerable amount though.

I know - I've been telling myself for years that I will dig it out and get a proper studio set up....

.... that'll be my resolution for New Year!

I've also got Cubase, Cakewalk Z3TA and the Korg Analog Collection smile

Waiting for the Nano Key to come out in Black/Grey, but is not due to the new year.
