What an amazing tour!

Loved every minute of it, I know someone said the MEN isn't very good as an arena but I thought it was very good.

Will definately be going back soon to see some more shows there.

The set was the best i've ever seen, a little story going on through it and amazing lighting and effects.

Good support acts too, I didn't see them all but Santogold was good and Mr Hudson & The Library sounded good.

My other half saw him in Birmingham on Saturday night and said it was the best show she's ever seen.

I personally think his new single is one of the most abysmal songs ever released, but each to their own.

It was only my first show, but I thought it's the best i'll ever see.

The lighting was amazing and the stage too, and the hologram he had on the stage was very impressive too.

It was funny at the end where he said.. "I've got to apologise, got to say sorry to ya'll.. Now on when you go to any other shows, I know they won't be as good as this one.. No one can beat the greatest" cool

Bah.. He isn't a patch on Jay-z.

He is a beat maker, not a rapper.

I think when Jay-Z retires, properly.. Kanye is next in line.

Btw, car sales in Surrey?

Yes car sales in Surrey.

Jay-z is well past it now, he has turned his music st, much like eminem, who contrary to popular belief was awesome in his earlier albums.

Who sorry?

hehe

I think he's alright, but prefer Kanye out of anyone who could take Jay-Z's place.

Kanye is not an amazing rapper by his own admission and as such is not a replacement for Jay-z in the proper sense ie best current rapper.

Kanye is like PDiddy in the way he can create a hit as a sum of the total product- he doesnt make you go wow on the flow alone. Lupe Fiasco on his many low budget, simple beat mix tapes proved his skills beyond doubt way before the big budget albums.

Yeah I get what your saying.. I agree too.

Kanye isn't the most amazing rapper, but his lyrics are good.. And since his mothers death, they've been more from himself.. More about what he's been through and everything like that.

But I also like it that he makes the music himself, or quite alot of it.. And the art work of his discs, and his music video's aswell.. He has alot of input into everything about his music.

But then like you said, Lupe is a very good rapper.

It's funny when I tell people of a similar age to myself that I'm really into Hip-Hop, when I mean Hip-Hop I mean 'proper' old school stuff:

Pete Rock & CL Smooth
Tribe Called Quest
Showbiz & AG
Eic B
Lords Of The Underground
The Notorious B.I.G
....
old school stuff does that include the luniz or E-40 . yeah kanye's alryt. he cant make and entirely good album but he can sure make hits... diamonds from sierra Leone, gold digger, stronger and so forth.

To name but a few, saying that, I loved Flashing Light by Mr West.

Love 80's House too:

Strictly Rhythm Label
Nervous Label
Masters at work
Arnold jarvis

I was big into New Jack swing too:
Wrecks 'n' Effect
Teddy Riley
Uptown Records

Aswell as Washington Go-Go, Soulfull Techno (Jeff Mills, Underground Resistance etc), and 80's funk & boogie, my hero was a guy called
Leroy Burgess who sang backing with Change before singing and writing some amazing boogie toones through the 80's.

Black & soulful underground music just ain't around like it used to be!
goodness me, great taste there - Strictly Rhythm - absolute quality.

No the music ain't what it used to be...
