Just got mine for Manchester. Never seen them before, cannot wait. From the stage plan on Ticketmaster, it looks like the crowd completely surround the stage.

Incidentally, why when I search for "Metallica" does this thread not come up?

You are correct. I think all these shows will be using a centre stage set-up. Having seen them like this a couple of times I'd say it works really well as the "front row" is effectively much longer, and no-one is too far from the stage. The band are very used to playing like this, and always seem to keep an eye on each others whereabouts to ensure that they are covering each section of the crowd as evenly as possible. Have a look on the 'net at some of the photos & videos from the O2 show in September for a better idea of how it will be.

Yeah centre stage setup works really well, went to the o2 gig earler this month, and saw them at Earls court a few years ago with the same setup - much better than the time I saw them at the new Wembley - miles from the stage!

at the o2 gig Lars drum kit rotated 90 degrees every couple of songs so all sides got to see the man at work.

Use the touts outside. I have been going to loads of gigs this way recentley and I have barely paid over face value, just wait as long as possible before buying one. There is always a time when they will just off load the tickets they have as they are useless after the event.

Most annoying thing is that there's plenty tickets on the go, but they're all on the tout sites for £130! Not so good when you're trying to get 2 of them! moan

If I've calmed down enough I shall let you know what they're like. They're in Nottingham tonight, so someone could beat me to it.

Hello Mrs Killer here

Went to Nottingham last night and it was fking brilliant! Stage was in the centre of the arena and I ended up about 10 rows from the front (I was in standing area). I saw them before at Wembley which was amazing, but to be so close and feel so involved really made it special.

Managed to get some pictures I'm really pleased with too biggrin

I've seen them twice (Wembley Stadium and last year at the O2).

Thinking of going to see them London on Monday but the setlist is poor IMO (I woudl rather hear the classics) - I spose it depends if you want to hear the newer/rarer stuff they seem to be doing.

The Wembley Stadium show with no album to support had a very good setlist, i owuld go again without hesitation if the same oen was being done this tour.
