Just got back, and it was excellent, although I've got sore feet and throat!!. Great atmosphere from before Ecstasy even started and till the band was still throwing drum sticks etc into the crowd. I expected a couple of track changes from the night before but not 7.
The 2 support bands were good. Only caught a couple of songs from The Sword, not to many people in the arena while they were on, but not far from full while Machine Head did their set.

First time I've been to a concert using the centre stage layout. I wish more bands would do that.

It was an Epic night, but beware the beachballs!

I do agree to an extent , the comments above about the set list, would've liked some more of the classics, but I think they are deliberately making an effort to avoid becoming the cliched old stagers living on past glories. I would have liked at least a couple of track, from the Load/Re-load albums, but I'm probably the only one in the arena! To hear them do Fuel would have made me very happy.

It's the only Metallica concert I've been too and it was good to see them appreciate the crowd, they stayed on stage for ages afterwards, whilst everyone was leaving, throwing freebies out.

We were up in the gods, 2nd row from the roof, and the sound for the warm up acts was poor. No problems with the main event though.
