Well... I would have been the first to have said it was going to be a pile of ste... But, its OK!!! I actually quite like it and I was never a GnR fan. I like the fact that it doesnt really sound like old GnR and they have kind of evolved, Metallica should take note! wink

Be interested to hear a bit more...

Left me a bit cold tbh.

Intro guitar sounds quite NiN-esque to me.

FWIW I'm a big fan of GNR circa Appetite...

Having listened to several tracks last night, I'm not that impressed.

The Album is meant to be out on the 23rd Nov, howerver Amazon UK have the release date as the 3rd Nov.

I don't think it's bad. It's no Sweet Child O Mine, but it's quite a decent album track I'd say.

Glad to see he's kept it fairly conventional - I thought Axle Rose would have gone for something a bit mroe extreme.

Axl appears on the latest Sebastian Bach album, and he sounds very similiar to his GnR days even on that. I am interetsed to hear chinese Democracy.

Really like the sound of this single< as stated a bit NiN at the start!
Who is playing lead guitar, I thought the solo about 3 minutes in was great?

I believe it is still Robin Finck, saw them last year and he's very good.

Have any of the other tracks been released? I can immagine that being a very respectable album track, not sure about it as a headline single though.

A mate of mine in Canada has managed to get hold of 12 of the 14 tracks. He reckons the album is very good.

There's been a few leaks of demos and live versions, but the only "release" is that one.
I'm looking forward to hearing "Better" in it's final incarnation.

I like it!

It's much more "living room" than "first car" though.

I must admit I was wrong.

I've been listening to the Album for a couple of days now, and I really like it.

Madagascar is my favourite track.

Lets put it in perspective though, its been SEVENTEEN years since the release of any original GnR material and fifteen since their last album. If this is the best Axl Rose can do in 15 years then it doesn't say alot.

It doesn't bother me that its not too much like Appetite era GnR, after all who wants to hear the same album rehashed again and again but it's simpy not very good is it.

Geffen washed their hands of it a few years ago and although their official reason was financial due to the length of time Rose was taking with it, I can't help wondering if someone heard what they were recording and tipped off their boss.

Lazy to say the least on the part of Rose. If people like it then fine but for me its decidely third rate and considering how long its taken massively underwhelming would be an understatement.

What album IS worth 15 years though? If it came with a free GnR concert in your living room and a blowjob, then OK. But a lot of people seem to be saying "oh, it's been 15 years, I expect every note to bring me instantly to orgasm." Not gonna happen.

I like the album. Not a big fan of Shackler's, but maybe it's a grower.
