Where have you seen the news about the firmware update?

I have had niggles in the midi side of things, but that is obviously not the main point of the thing.

Having to always hook up a mains and audio and midi lead to the thing would be a bit naff!

I spied it in the small print on a recently revamped part of the Yamaha/Tenori-on website. It's not the easiest thing to find! But I'll copy/paste it here..

"To coincide with the unveiling of the new model Yamaha have also confirmed a free forthcoming firmware update for current TENORI-ON customers. Following a range of user comments Yamaha are currently in the process of creating a new operating system which is expected to be available from January 2010.The update will address a number of areas including the synching of TENORI-ON to external DAW applications and offer an improved MIDI sync implementation."

This thing is enormous fun though I've already loaded in a few of my own samples.. Sounds great! And really doesn't take long to get the hang of. Although i've only been using it in a fairly basic capacity so far.
Do you use any of your own samples with it also?
