SO we've had invaders must die and now the Omen which IMO are instantly recognisable as Prodigy tunes. It seems they are back on form and kicking out tunes similar in sound and pace to Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land.

I have the album on at the moment and first impressions are good. Sure, they'd have to produce a blinding album to match the Jilted generation but what i am hearing is good.

I've been listening to a promo copy for the past week or so. It's pretty good smile But not up there with their older stuff. Has a HUGE sound though! I'll give it that. Really packs some punch.
I used to think Pendulum were trying to be like the Prodigy. This sounds a bit more like the Prodigy trying to be like Pendulum. Whatever, any Prodigy fan should enjoy this.

P,
This is pretty much how I feel - I dont really like any of the Pendulum work that has any 'singing', and feel the new Prodigy certainly has some influence from Pendulum in this respect. You are right about the production too.

I look forward to seeing how some of the songs are performed live, but hope they dont waste their time concentrating on this album.

Had it on this morning on the drive up the road. Fantastic tune biggrin

I can see where you guys are coming from with the pendulum sound, either way it seems to be working

I've been waiting for them to equal or top jilted generation. The new stuff sounds promising...but then the singles usually do and the albums IMO are a letdown. I'm intrigued to hear more of the new album

Seriously doubt that will happen.

I am annoyed by the lack of decent B-sides too, not been any since SMBU.

I never really liked Molotov bh to be honest - atleast compared to some of their others. G-Force (Part One) and Scienide for me please..

I pretty much loved all of the B sides that came with the Firestarter, Breathe and Smack my bh up singles. Granted Pandemonium on Fire/jericho is still one of the all time greatest B sides that never was. biggrin

Molotov bh is best enjoyed very drunk with the volume and Bass up loud cool

I'm not quite as taken with it. A couple of absolute classics, granted, but some pretty so-so tunes as well.

Prefer In Silico and InnerPartySystem's debut - both stronger overall.

Hmmm it's ok, an improvement on Always..... but not a classic. 6 or 7 out of 10

I really loved Pendulum's "In Silico" album, and I love Prodigy's older stuff and also the new Omen track; so it sounds like this is going to be a must-purchase album

I'd say it's stronger than 'Fat', but it just seems that's it's trying a little too hard in some places - instantly recognisable hooks to let you know who you are listening to, and to transport your mind back to ealier albums....

Doesn't stop me loving it though!

The best tracks are the ones that sound like they are straight out of 1991, such as Warrior's Dance!
