Hi everyone,

Well, I have returned from holiday (the Maldives are as horrific as you can imagine…), and I'm feeling really good - mainly because we got engaged out there! I also managed to get a set out there, playing to the Saudi Royal family (amongst others). They weren't impressed when I told them that I had no R'n'B….

So, freshly energised, I'm back behind the decks, and there is some seriously good Trance out there at the moment. The genre has died? Don't believe a word of it…. This is pretty pumping stuff, so fits in nicely after 'Puissant'.

I hope these mixes find everyone in fine fettle

Was offered a ticket from a friend who had a spare one last week. Unfortunately down the other end of France. Should have planned the journey better and headed up for then.

Who's sets did you see?

Just had chance to listen. Thanks as usual. Definitely preferred Output by the way, just my taste I suppose. I like a bit of prog but the more pumping/uplift the better, for me. Cheers again.

Please tell us all about Trance Energy, I’d love to hear about it. Line up looked good, but is it bad that I’ve never heard of Fausto? confused Some of these Euro events look a lot of fun but it’s a bit of an effort getting out there. (This coming from the person who lives within ear-shot of the Creamfields site and couldn’t get his arse in gear to go, so you get the idea laugh )

Saw Simon Patterson (a mate), John O'Callaghan (good), Armin (better), PVD (dull), Ali Wilson (too loud), Rank1 (great tune).... a few others as I went for a wander at times...

The organisation was incredible - lockers instead of cloakroom. The sound quality in the main area was amazing - rock band loud, but you could still talk normally. Indoor fireworks, massive light and laser displays, massive light boards stretching down the room, flooding the entire area with light if need be. 'Theme' of the night was that you were in and part of a giant organic computer, with the DJ's being different running programmes to load up and run. plenty of places to sit down and chill, security was very tight to go in, and they had a lot in there, but not wandering through the dance floors - just at the sides to help people. I'll collate the photos from the 14 people I took (stag do), and post up the best.

Oh yes - cheers for the comments on the mixes!

Edit - Simon patterson 'Thump' was played 3 times on the night. No other tune I heard was played more than once...Oh look, what's the last tune? wink

I've been listening to a few sets from Trance Energy...I thought PvD was ok, it was a shock to hear Camisra stuck in there, I haven't heard that for years. Not a fan of the mainstage MC.

Was sitting with at home with my friend on Saturday night when she gets a text from a friend at Trance Energy...."I think PVD has just played your tune on the mainstage".

She sent it as an unsigned promo to him last week and heard nothing more, then he drops it at TE! She's a producer/DJ and I'm a vocalist so obviously we're both two huge trance fans smile

Will check out your mix Don

Wow! I’ve just realised I’ve got your Dave Graham collab on “Armada Trance 5” (great label) And A State of Trance and Global DJ Broadcast playlisted as well! bow Cool track, I like this moody, hypnotic vocals type stuff. What's your DJ mates name?

Was at Global Underground 36 launch a few weeks back at the ministry...awesome, I was stuck in Old Skool tuneage till then..

Some people call it Tech House, others Funky, others trance, either way...absolutely awesome.

Hi Friend and Blackout are top notch..!

Aw thank you smile Armin has really been supporting it on ASOT which is great as it was mine and Dave's first tune, even separately. Makes a big difference to have him on your side!

And the tune PVD played was Orla Feeney - Comic Strip
