For those who think it wont sell out quickly - what planet are you on?

Peopel will be coming from all over the world for these gigs.

I know I'm going to try to get tickets. He's one of the biggest icons in pop, and he does have an impressive back catalogue.

And when the first 10 sell out, they will announce another 5 or so, and maybe some more after that...

As with the Prince gigs, the'll be priced at a 'decent' amount, which allows the casual fan to still want to go as well as the die-hard fan the chance to go to a few, or every gig.

I still maintain though that the chances of all of these concerts going ahead properly is about as likely as him being employed as a babysitter on his days off.

His fans seem a bit weird, a bit like Jesus fans.

What was "Ben" about again?

Oh, a pet rat, that's fine.

Lucky arse. Their captcha doesn't work in firefox, and I've been in the queue twice counting down for ages, then it gets to 1 minute then a problem occurs and you have to start again.

Talentless? think you need to learn about music.

Freak- hell yes but main reason why Im going, 10% chance will be brilliant but worth the gamble for me.

Very lucky! There was a glitch on the website and they let some tickets go at 6:30.

I can't help but feel that the gig won't happen or will be a big let down.

With his back catalogue, it should be a fantastic show but...

..looking at him he is hardly able to string an adult sentence together, (look at the launch for example) how is he going to interact with the crowd, and perform 15-20 songs?
At that launch he was just mushy, with no oomph. Almost child like.

Then there was that performance he did where he only sung two sentences and left the rest to the other singers.

He is also a 50 year old man, who looks very frail for his age. I very much doubt whether he is going to be blasting out from the stage or dancing/Moonwalking like he was in his "Bad" days.

It wouldn't surprise me if a large part is mimed aswell, I think some of the Bad concerts may have been, recalling some of the videos produced at the time.

I think a lot of people are expecting it to be like in his heyday in 1987/1988. He has got older, wierder, and lost the plot with his music since then.

I hope I am wrong for those that have bought tickets or are going to pay well over the odds from touts on Ebay.

I've said this from the start.

On his last album he couldn't even turn up to the studio to record due to 'ill health'.

He has been offered numerous other jobs like live in free accomodation in Dubai and work in his own custom made studio for him, but bottled it.

ONE show would have been a risk, anywhere in the world.

Five would be really pushing it.

19 is crazy. I will be very very shocked if even the majority go ahead on the stated date and include a non mimed performance of any reasonable standard for more than an hour.

Well we are upto 30 now with MORE expected to be annouced

Even I am wondering how he will be able to do so many shows - like 1 every 2 or 3 days for almost 3 months non stop - must be somekind of record?

at least he will be going out with a bang

btw i think its expected there will be a lot of miming, but i imagine there are expectations for some good dance moves.

Theres a couple of runs of 9 shows in 18 nights there...

There *must* be a clause in the contract between him and the promoter whereby if he doesn't show or they give refunds that has to come from MJ's cut.

This is either going to be one of the most profitable runs of all time, or the end of him!
