been on my computer since 7 ticketmaster is showing me a damn 15 min msg for the last 21 mins! im not impressed! why cant these companies sort out their websites?
btw michael jackson will do the bussiness! some of you guys need to lay of his back!!
The only business that MJ has done in the last 15 years is been in a courtroom for 'dubious' reasons and pulling out on business deals.btw michael jackson will do the bussiness! some of you guys need to lay of his back!!
I can also say from personal experience that even his last album was written in recorded with him being in the studio for less than 1% of the time.
I really hope that a new leaf has been turned over, but I can see this ending in tears.
If I were in London I would buy tickets for the hell of it. However, whilst I travelled down a 500 mile round trip to see Prince four times on his stay there, there is no way I am risking the money on a non-refundable train ticket or hotel for him to flake out at the last minute.
Come back to this thread in 6 months time, and link this to the 'Sue Jackson, sue the promoter' threads.
Alternatively, someone who has not worked in a decade, and not toured for 15 years at 50 years old and struggling with ill health will pull of a run of 50 blinding shows and you can all call be a t***.

I managed to get 4 Amex Premium Level 1 seats just now.
Have 2 PC's running for more. Not interested personally but a lot of people I work with are very keen so am being helpful.
For a small profit, obviously
Tickets on ebay are now pushing double face value - and that is for upper tier seats.Have 2 PC's running for more. Not interested personally but a lot of people I work with are very keen so am being helpful.

I am guessing that more than 50% of the tickets bought so far are going to be touted.
I have to say that after days of their systen timing out, throughout the pre and post sale, waiting hours for the "15 minutes or more" to come to nothing and start all over again, finally getting 3 tickets and having to pay £9 fee per ticket for the joy of the buying experience with fketmaster leaves a bitter taste in my mouth...

I think loads of people are going to end up losing a lot of money. Meaning all of the people who pay over the odds for tickets by buying them off the black market. He's going to cancel some of the shows, without a doubt, and when that happens those people won't be getting a refund.
Indeed.I thought it was only me that was seeing this.
As the tickets are reasonably affordable and the demand is so huge I honestly reckon these will be the most touted gigs in history. At the time of the Prince gigs at the O2 there were literally thousands of tickets on ebay sold by both professional traders and a lot of 'first timers' who realised they could buy an extra two tickets every time they went and put them on ebay and cover the cost of their own pair in profit.
These gigs have even more buzz and demand. Tickets are being resold now at four times face value.
If 50% of the tickets are on the black market that means that if a gig is cancelled that's £3 million of black market tickets which are worthless floating around...
I have to agree that with 50 gigs once things settle down in a week or so tickets will barely sell above face value. As I managed to get some opneing day tickets from ticketmaster I decided to sell my other August tickets which I had also managed to get hold off in the presale from ticketmaster. I was very lucky yesterday as I sold 4 tickets for one of his August dates for a total of £2325. Admitedley these are really good seats in block A2 but considering they cost me around £336 I'm pretty happy.
Maybe I could have made more closer to the time or they might even lose their value but initially as I had no intention to sell on my tickets I thought why not get what I can now.
This is the first thing I have ever sold on ebay and I initially had a 'buy it now' price for 2 of these tickets for £675. Whichever people bid it up to £1020 must be kicking themselves now.

Fizz, you played the game right.
The hype of people not being able to get tickets by normal means pushes the price up to hysteria.
When the hype cools off, so does the price, although depending on the demand at the last minute - the last couple of days the price either skyrockets or plummets.
What people don't realise is that although Ticketmaster show they have sold out, that does not mean all the seats have been sold. They only sell a limited number of the floor and lower tier seats straight off, and because of this the demand makes people go for the upper tier, as that is their only option.
The rest of the 'good' seats are sold in blocks to dealers in advance to advertise with a usually big margin on top. However, in the last few days as the dealers realise these seats won't be sold at the high price, Ticketmaster get the tickets back and they go back on the Ticketmaster site with a couple of days to go.

So you're saying that Ticketmaster sells large amounts of tickets directly to touts who sell them on at a higher price? The hype of people not being able to get tickets by normal means pushes the price up to hysteria.
