I don't mind her. I think there are 2 N's in her 2nd name though.

Err no - she's got a cracking voice, has had a good career thus far and is generally inoffensive.

Why, what's she done?

In what way "ruined"? Had a different voice to the original singer? biggrin

I used to live next door to her. She's a very nice woman. Strongly principled, but certainly not your usual meedja hungry "celeb".

What's she done to annoy you?

If you can carry off a performance like this, you're OK in my book....

...and yes, I know the backing video adds to the whole "emotional" feeling, but it's a pretty memorable performance either way.

She has done some good stuff, but I think mainly under the influence of the hugely talented Dave Stewart.
I do, however, hate her latest song... How annoying can you sing the word light?

I hate her becuase I never really *got* her and still don't. Plus the way she is the default choice for any British female award always annoy's me.

Oh...and she is a bit 'preachy'

Not the best reasons I'll grant you but they are mine, so there!

She's a crap driver, I know that for a fact. She managed to hit THREE cars whilst parking her 4x4 at Battery Recording studios a few years back.

Imo she's an amazing singer, songwriter and musician. She's one of the few artists,in particular female artists still making fantastic music after 30+ years. Agreed, her stuff with Dave Stewart was 'better' than her solo stuff (Here Comes the Rain Again,Sweet Dreams,It's Alright, etc etc) but I think she is a MASSIVE talent and deserves any recognition she gets. Very intelligent lady too and strikingly beautiful.thumbup

I can understand if people don't like her music, but I still can't see what she's done that would make anyone "hate" her.......

I have always found her to be really kind and never used to complain when we used to kick a ball into her garden and then got caught clambering over the wall and trampling her flowerbeds on a regular basis.

Never been much of a fan of either her, or Dave Stewarts solo stuff - they seem to work considerably better together than apart.

Superb voice. I don't like her solo work as much as the Eurythmics / Tourists stuff, but I would never knock her technical quality. Okay, so I had a huge crush on her as a kid wink

She goes mental at the end! Bet she needed a strepsil after that.
