Due to the demise (yet again) of my Marshall Amp, i have rediscovered Guitar Rig - had it on disc for ages but never bothered with it.
I must say it is ace. I am like a kid with a new toy at the moment, in particualr going through all the hi gain/metal settings and generally just ar5ing about.
Have managed to get round to recording some tracks (into Cubase) using it, and the results are astounding. Now, i have always been a purist when it comes to my guitar playing and effects, and i still don't use much other than distortion and perhaps a bit of delay, but the ease of selecting your settings from teh rpe defined banks and then cracking on is simply amazing. No micing up the amp, tripping over wires, having to use headphones etc.
Anyone else use it? Any tips on getting the most out of it? And can you download new banks etc?
