If you are a fan of anything to do with Old Skool Metal (Melodic/Heavy/Power/Progressive), you might find something to like with my bands new video!

Enjoying the new Intervals EP today and happy to have discovered Slugdge too - funny song titles but solid music!
Slugdge are superb - Esoteric Malacology is my favourite album of the last year by a long distance. Lyrics are a lot deeper than the song titles would suggest.tuscaneer said:

Not sure where you're based, but they're playing some odd gigs - Bournemouth in a venue that holds about 100, Milton Keynes, London and Glasgow from memory.
Not got anyone to go with yet and have a spare ticket, but i'm not missing Will Haven playing 10 miles from my house!
if i was closer than 200 miles away (liverpool) i'd come with you and get the ale in ..Not got anyone to go with yet and have a spare ticket, but i'm not missing Will Haven playing 10 miles from my house!
i'll have a look now and see how close they are getting to me!
It was so hot i swear my legs were sweating, but WHVN were as tight as you'd expect them to be after years and years together.
Not the best gig i've ever been to, but happy I went.
Think I've posted stuff from this album before, but I just keep going back to it.

I have no idea how Ghost have passed me by. Saw them at Etihad and was absolutely blown away. Don't think I've ever left a gig humming a song by the support band (Year Zero).
Now utterly addicted to them.
Has your taint recovered? They were fantastic, even better when the little old lady next to me asked if we were worshipping Satan. Now utterly addicted to them.

Ghost
Cant get enough of parkway drive at the moment, blew me away when I went to see them in Nottingham earlier in the year.
Also seeing slipknot at download made me delve back into stone sour again.
Quirky band from download worth a listen - alien weaponry (they are about 12 and somehow get their ancestral music into metal!)

New discovery tonight - Embrace of Thorns.
Scorn Aesthetics
Really rather agreeable blackened death metal.

Ghost have announced a tour I see....
Logical move really. I'm in one of the UK Metallica Chapters and almost everyone who saw them on this tour has been massively impressed with them, They've picked up a lot of new fans so adding a few UK dates to make the most of that is a great idea. Greatly looking forward to it.This evening, I have mostly been revisiting some my quirkier favourites from way back when:-
Korpse - Pull the Flood
Pan.Thy.Monium - Dream II
Lubricant - Semistarvation
Xysma - Why Am I?
Entombed tend to get the credit for birthing death 'n roll, but there were a lot of other bands about at the time doing quirky and interesting things that probably deserves more recognition.

Never really exposed to power violence previously, but saw these guys at a local grind/doom show and they took my face off, so been getting into it a lot more of late.
