They recently released one and are on tour as we speak. Or have I misunderstood?

Lots of cryptic posts from them. Seems it's just Clown doing art stuff.

Anyway, anyone heard of The Hu?

Tickets have just gone on sale for Me and that man in London, the rather blues inspired side project of Nergal from Behemoth.

Managed to squeeze into the dogtooth tent at Download last year to see them, they were very good, seem to have a lot of attention on them at the moment. Really enjoy the album, nice and melodic for a break. They have won all sorts of awards back home.

Anyone off to see Slipknot on their current tour?

Anyone with a spare ticket?

Scratching a grind/crust itch at the moment - this is really rather satisfying.

Time of Chaos

Getting a big old school Agathocles vibe off that.

Yes, see above. Ace stage set and a great selection of tracks.

I'd probably really enjoy that if it wasn't for the awful snare sound.
Properly off-putting frown

Weirdly, that's exactly what I like about it! Gets me all nostalgic for old Regurgitate or the properly bonkers Last Days of Humanity stuff.

It’s everything I expected from a slipknot gig, of your are a fan you will enjoy it. I’m not really a big fan and got pretty bored, thoroughly enjoyed Behemoth though.

Seen Slipknot in Manc and Sheffield. Very very good as usual and I'm battered from the pit.

Heads up though, there's a seriously well organised phone robbery group at the shows, they nicked loads of phones including mine pretty quickly.

Yep they are following the tour, happened on their last one too. Saw lots of mentions of nicked phones from the Glasgow gig, too.

Mine was in a zipped pocket under a hoodie, they were rather good at what they were doing. Think for Rammstein in June I'll be upping the ante on possession security even more. Just leaves a bad taste.

As we entered the MEN arena, the lady checking out tickets warned us to be extra vigilant with phones and wallets.

In Flames have just announced a new tour and they're coming to a little venue called the Engine rooms, near me in Southampton. At £20 a ticket, it would have been rude to refuse!

From 30 second grind and power violence to Midnight Odyssey's absurdly expansive cosmic Black Metal.

Of Golden Age Descended

These guys (well, guy), Mesarthim, Spectral Lore and Mare Cognitum just do this sort of thing so well. Love it!

Oh, and Monolithian are doing a gig in a tiny club local to me, which I'm looking forward to enormously, as I've wanted to see them for ages.

Back from Caliburn, A Higher Demise, Arkdown and Confessions of a Traitor gig - metalcore often leaves me cold on record, but makes far more sense live. Interesting contrast between crowds at other subgenre gigs. Feels far more inclusive and positive. Much less drunken dheadery, on the whole.
