Nas - Illmatic. Great album cover. I think it really captures the mood that the artist was trying to convey.

Smiff N Wessun - Dah Shinin. Its a mock up of a Roy Ayers record cover but for the life of me I can't remember which one.

Ralph Macdonald. To be fair the music on this is not as great as the cover and the concept. One of those records I listen to once in a blue moon.

Gangstarr - Daily Operation. Not my favourite Gangstarr album but my fabourite of all their coverwork.

Ramsey Lewis - Sun God. Great album great music. Win.

Royce 5'9 - Boom. Half naked girl and rap music. Very little can go wrong in my eyes.

Andrew Gold - Whats Wrong With This Picture?

Just look carefully - sea at different levels, doorbell on the inside of the door, AGs initials in the mirror showing the correct way round, tape on the turntable, vinyl on the reel-to-reel ... although there aren't many decent quality copies of the picture on the web.

I never noticed that. It's a great album. My stand out track on it is definitely "one of them is me".

It needs to be seen like this, as with the gatefold LP. The CD ruins it:

"but seriously folks" Theres a story about that. They shot the cover, and one of the plans was for the whole band to jump in at the same time, and be photod underwater. They all did. Then got out. They realised there was someone missing. The drummer was at the bottom of the pool motionless. Turned out he couldn't swim, and hadn't told anyone.

Always loved this cover. Blackfoot - Vertical Smiles.
