I'm disappointed in you lot; five pages of hauntingly beautiful music and no mention of Nick Drake.

I can't decide between the following two:

Know
'Cello Song

Depends.

Thread ends if you include the version with Claire Torry, but continues if you mention any other damp version with anyone else on vox.

Some great links so far. Totally agree with Evanescene and nice to see ATB getting a mention (9pm till.... was just an unfortunate blip in a v good career imo).

My (slightly random) suggestions are -

Counting Crows - Colorblind

Carrie Underwood - I'll Stand By You (Accoustic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teqF7KbdS_c

Chicane - No Ordinary Morning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKUIDQUTlMM

Bryan Adams - Heaven
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7b37l_B4vI

Britney Spears - Everytime

Hopefully no repeats smile

I love how this was used at the end of the film Heat.

Very nice. Very Glass-esque.

Sometimes, only some minimalist Philip Glass will do.

Something different here - you need to listen to these loud with a subwoofer or good quality headphones.

'kin hell yikes

Absolutely bloody marvellous stuff, that.

It seems a little churlish to post a link to Street Spirit by Radiohead with that in mind.
My friend Tom played harmonica on the album version of 'Again'. Archive are a fantastic band, and Again is one of my favourite tracks by them.

Ignore the wk video someone's made, but listen to the difference the blues harp makes (in fact, the live version - good as is it - lacks 'something' without it). It makes it all the more haunting, and makes my skin tingle every time I hear it.

Archive have already been mentioned but I would nominate a track from their 2nd album. Track is called something like "The Way You Love Me". I don't know if it's on YouTube but it's worth checking out.
