A haunting instrumental from the end of the 'Still' CD which came with Live: And All That Could Have Been.

One of my most listened too albums recently.

Brilliant. I love Kristin Hersh, and everything she's done. Good lord, there's even a picture of her on my fridge, it must be love.

Agreed - This one gives me goose bumps at 3m 40s

On my own in the car, blasting this bit, rewind, play again, rewind, play again....

Fleetwood Mac - Oh Well

Not the first bit (though that is great), but the melody from 2:20 onwards.

I've got a couple that spring to mind. David Sides' version of Stop and Stare. Personally, transformed it into a different song for me smile

Ok, slightly unusual one. But I remember seeing the episode of Doctor Who that this is in and being stunned by the beautiful simplicity yet unusual eeriness of the music. I appreciate from a musical point of view it isn't the most technically accomplished or whatever, but it's my choice smile

Man Of The World. Quite personal, but haunting nonetheless.

Johnson - Crossroads. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd60nI4sa9A
Covered infinite times but never bettered, maybe its partly the legend that goes with him and his music but there is genius here, even Clapton thinks so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETELORdwmJA

Missy Higgins - The River. If you aren't paying attention its quite "up", jolly even.. but if you listen its not such a great story..

For me, this is definitely a haunting and beautiful song:

The Smiths - last night I dreamt somebody loved me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH9DoxqKAyA

And Johnny Cash's version of Trent Reznor's 'Hurt'...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o22eIJDtKho

And 'Amoreuse' by Kiki Dee is beautiful too...
