Any info on this? Will there be one? NEC have got a right nerve charging £7 to park your bloody car.

There's a different thread, seems nothing is confirmed though.

hey, if we'd thought about it earlier (like last week)

then you could have parked at Brum Airport for £2.99 for the day, then the free trainlink from the airport to the NEC

Hi All

We have not been able to set aside an NEC car park for Phers, due to huge logistics with moving traffic and some 15,000 cars expected on the saturday we just couldn't get this organised.

apologies for the late notice but we really have been trying to get some movement from the NEC up until yesterday.

however...

we will have in the region of 150 PHers cars in the show (as well as all the commercial exhibitors cars)It is going to be an awesome show of PHers metal.

That really is disapointing. Surely bearing in mind the amount of time this has been in planning it should have been possible to sort this out.

Hi Ian

You are right it is dissapointing, ESPECIALLY bearing in mind the time we have put in. We are however subject to having this show take place at the NEC so are subject to thier availabilty of parking space.

always a pitty to have hard work wasted...at least you tried..

but i can imagine logisitics of letting the right cars in to a certain car park... and having those folk find that car park... and with 220000 spaces over what? 15 seperate car parks thats a big area to sort out, and make sure you have enough spaces for those estimated in coming.... its not like you could just cone off an area of spaces like they did with the classic cars at Stoneleigh race retro.
