Any regrets?
Not in anyway what so ever. They both have presence.
This Defender was mint,it was not rough in any way, it had only 55k on the clock, had just been restored after being dry stored on a shooting estate for ten years,so I am not basing my thoughts on a rough old barge.
But, you really need to want, and have a reason for owning the 110 IMO as the agricultural reality of the Defender,is so there, all the time, in your face.
The Land Cruiser is very capable and also faster, drier, warmer, quieter, comfier, more room, for me, just better in every way.
I don't see any reason to own it,other than ticking the LR box.
I have had the RR Discovery and now the Defender.
For what I want it for, there is nothing the 110 will do or go that the LC cant.

The land cruiser will not keep up with the Defender offroad due to it's independent front suspension. The Defender is also easier to repair when damaged.
Otehrwise it sounds like the Land Cruiser is a more appropriate vehicle for you

Could do with a few more photos like this in the "Hate SUVs, love Range Rovers" thread. I build this buggy using a subaru 1300cc engine . It has 70 hp , 99/3500 Nm (torque) and 550 kg . top speed 100 mph . I can turbo it for more power . You can see it on youtube -> jak buggy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_0xubRSQRI

My Landcruiser:
I'm taking it to Iceland fairly soon so there should be many cool pictures after that . These pictures were taken from my new flying camera which I'm hoping should produce some spectacular shots in Iceland.
Very nice. The things just will not depreciate into my 4x4 price range (3 figures )I'm taking it to Iceland fairly soon so there should be many cool pictures after that . These pictures were taken from my new flying camera which I'm hoping should produce some spectacular shots in Iceland.
How to you go about getting a vehicle to Iceland? A drive through Europe and some ferry hops or is it a case of getting it in a container?
