I invited my mate out on the plains the other day
He turned up in an escalade and brought about 30 of his mates in ranger rovers
Even had a police escort down the byway at the stones
Not a great way to win friends and influence ramblers. Please keep your laning groups to an absolute maximum of six and preferably four.He turned up in an escalade and brought about 30 of his mates in ranger rovers

What's happening with the land wardens? I was told that they were no more!
Still there ... Usually 3 on duty at any one time (one for each section of the Plain) running shifts. Backed up by the MODPol patrols & the Usual security perimeter patrols around the camps.Expect them to be paying particular attention to Imber Ranges this time of year as passage to the Village Church is permitted.

On the subject of imber I understand that the hard pack tracks are open,is this true,or is there one fixed route?Understand access is from Warminster end,but are we allowed to access from other points,ie chitterne area?Expect them to be paying particular attention to Imber Ranges this time of year as passage to the Village Church is permitted.
Was on the Plain today. Not sure I'll bother again for a while.
Despite us being the only two cars we saw out there, the Plain as a whole is clearly getting massively over-used now, even for such a large area. Most of the main routes have at least one massive claggy mud pit somewhere along their length, with some parts evidently now so far gone they won't ever recover and will become permanent water-features.
More fences have gone up, more lanes are now closed for good.
Oh well. Good while it lasted.

I noticed that when we were out on boxing day.
