Hey guys
I've just finished my lifted Impreza thank to the team at Ruislip Tyres. It's great fun and the mild offroading I've done so far has been positive - i'm looking to head to Salisbury with a local offroad guys in the defenders

I'm running an early impreza wagon on the forester suspension and spacers from the US

Not sure how to get the images to upload but this is a short video of the car on some local lanes - https://youtu.be/I9tSZtByklQ

I'm also running BFG tyres 225/75/15

Car looks good, but I couldn’t watch the whole video due to the god awful noise being played all the way through it. wink

Nice! Always I that back of my head to do this to an old sub. Never had the time money or know how it holds up.

You should, it's been great fun and was an adventure into offload for me - now I'm hooked and need a more fit for purpose vehicle I reckon
The guys at Ruislip Tyres did the lift for me and helped source the parts - really wasn't anything too scary to get to the level I have - approx 5-inch over stock

Looks like fun smile

Still the original gearbox? You could drop in an Outback/Forester/old Legacy box if you want low range, or an STi DCCD box if you want a difflock...

A word of warning.
Salisbury Plain has changed dramatically In the last five years with the MoD no longer turning quite such a blind eye to public use of the estate. Many lanes have been closed permanently and large areas fenced off for good. You can blame the 50-strong convoys of smashed up Discoverys and dog walkers who won't obey red flags.
Not suggesting for a moment that you're heading there with any intention of doing anything illegal, but tread carefully when it comes to the lanes you use. Chances are you're being watched, and the MoD has an increasing collection of confiscated vehicles. (Yes they can....)
But it's a great area, and has some excellent routes well away from civilisation. Have fun :-)
