Any thoughts on the lil Jimny as I have access to one I could perhaps play with?

Amazing off road, but slightly fragile, body, chassis wise, also heavy on fuel

Anyone got thoughts on an Xtrail? Been offered a minter that appears to have decent history and not rotten or broken looking at mot history. Just not sure if they'd be much good off-road but with decent tyres.

Mercedes ML. Has low range gearbox and i was massively impressed with mine when I took it proper off roading. I stuck some BF Goodrich AT3s on and I was tackling some of the basic black routes (obviously only the ones where ground clearance wasnt an issue).

I ended up buying a 2 litre petrol grand vitara and it's been great so far. Have managed to break the exhaust as it got caught on a hump off road, I can see why a lot of cars end up on a 2" lift for that little extra ground clearance

Vauxhall Frontera? They're popular. Not sure about how many are available in auto though
I had to do a double take to make sure this wasn't a 10-15 year old thread!!

Frontera??? Seriously..... don't think I've seen one in about a decade.

They're also really easy to lift. Torsion bar front and you can buy spacers for the back for pennies..
