.....I very much doubt it had ever been off road in the 9 years and 144,000 miles it had existed before I got it! ........
I presume yours being a Shogun (ie TRUE UK model) that it is in miles and NOT kilometers? Mine has had the speedo dial converted to mph but the odometer still reads kilometers and therefor the car has only covered 80,000. It does also have a full main dealer service history though. I have never ever seen a service book with so many stamps in it!
Something a bit different, have no idea how this is going to go down!
Erm, I won't go into all the modifications, it'd take a while. The main things are a 1641cc engine on dual Kadron carbs, front raised 2.5 inches using VW Trekker front stub axles and arms, the rear raised 3 inches using VW campervan reduction boxes, these also give better gearing for offroading.
I do a bit of greenlaning around Surrey, been meaning to try to get to Salisbury Plain for ages.

that is cool the closest i get to off road is driving up the unmaid road i live on... bit of a tarmac junkie atm, but that may well change now theres the new section to get me thinking
im going to need alot of money, and a big ass garage!
Well turns out the patrol I was after has some HPI troubles, so that's not happening. Disappointed really as the guy seemed decent and genuinely surprised to hear about it. nothing too sinister but not worth the risk.
So with a bit of luck tomorrow I'll be getting this one, guy seems decent if a little stunned that I just rang him out of the blue, took the reg and HPI'd it, then rang back telling him I'll be there tomorrow (200 miles away) to check it out in the metal with a view to coming home with it. two owners, the latest has had it since 500miles, fsh 53k miles and best of all it's black Apparantly it's really clean and tidy, blemish free and immaculate, let's see how long that lasts
keep your fingers crossed for me

well i go to the royal ag college in cirencester where there are a few good green lanes. one of which is the foss way (a long track which goes down to a pit where there is deep mud, comes up to bottom of windscreen of pug 306... yes we have taken a diesel 306 off road, did fairly well). we have taken all sorts down there. most of which are disco's though, i posted a few pics of what a friend managed to do to there disco. and the pug. actually dont no how to post pics but when i work it out ill get them up.
