Hi - posted similar thread on Biker Banter, but am looking for a pay and play site where I can ride a trailie that I have been given. Bike is not UK reg'd, so cannot use on the road at the mo, but keen to go for a blast off-road.

Any suggestions? - I heard of a place near Bordon called Slab Common, not sure how I get to ride here (legally)......

Cheers.

Slab Common is used for club enduro's with permission of the MOD.

Of course there are the odd bikes riden on there, but they are riding totally illegally

Generally there is no place to use a trail/offroad bike unless it is fully legal or it is used on private land!

All the quads, mini bikes, un-registered offroad/motocross bikes, if they are used on anything but private land are commiting an offence.

I may be sounding like a killjoy, but it is this illegal riding that has contributed to the loss of rights of way that we all enjoyed!!!!!!!!!!!

Legalise your bike and join the TRF, them you will have plenty of places to ride.

Peter.

Thanks, but your post has confused me - surely if I go to what's called a 'pay and play' site (ie somewhere privately owned where the landowner gives permission to ride in exchange for payment) I can ride without MOT/Insurance/Tax/etc?

For the avoidance of doubt, I do not intend to ride the bike anywhere illegally. Just looking for somewhere on private land where I can try the bike, before I get around to addressing the myriad obstacles to registering it. (new clocks, new headlight, MOT - without registration, Certificate Of Conformance from Honda, loads of forms from DVLA, more forms from HMRC, Insurance with VIN instead of VRM etc.)

Sorry, I misunderstood you.

I get a bit hot under the coller with illigal riding, we have lost so many lanes already!

Peter.
