or wait until a decent E46 M3 comes up
That'll be a very long wait!

If you don't need read seats then the Cayman is a bargain, seen a few early manuals now with circa 100k kms sell for 40-45k

That is cheap but looks honestly so. Over 8 yrs old (difficult but not impossible to get fc cover) manual and braaahn leather.

Quick google suggests the mtm s/c upgrade was $60k list and good for 560bhp.

Dealership has changed hands so too early to tell, used to be al futtain who held minimal stocks. New dealer is Adamas Motors (who? Exactly) Their social media output is a little odd so far, launch event with their new showroom on the 19th.

Don’t buy one of the older exiges thinking you can ship it to europe and profit. They aren’t (and can’t be made) road legal outside the GCC. However the market prices seem to (finally) reflect that.

Deroure, elise parts etc all ship here quickly and give good service. Lotus specific tyres are cheaper and easier to get hold of from tire rack.

For service i would go indy, one of the race prep type outfits. a-tech know lotus cars very well and msw can’t be beat for geo/suspension tweeks.

Even for a car without EU CoC? I was told otherwise. Is there anywhere I can read up on this? A lotus takes about a day and £2k in parts to convert to RHD.

If so i hope that 260cup is still for sale......
