Hello pistonheads world! First post on here so do be kind if I violate some unsaid rules.

I have a 2013 Clio RS III 200 that I want to get some work done on (I am a victim of the rattling exhaust problem!).

Any recommendations for a good service shop / mechanic in Dubai?

Also is there a RS owners club here in the city?

Cheers,

That wasn’t me (I have a black one) but I think I saw the same green one on First Al Khail last evening. Looked perfect in the sunset light.

Best to ask here:

http://www.dubaipetrolheads.com/car-chat/

A couple of us have clios (i have a half share in a 182 cup car) but on there you will find a few guys who have 197/200 road cars as well as those who race in the clio cup.

Craig from AUH (clio cup prep shop) is on here but i dont think they do work on road cars. A-tech (other clio race prep shop) do but you might struggle to get a booking at short notice.

No idea where’s best for road going versions. Definitely not the renault main dealer.

If it is just usual mechanical work which a rattling exhaust sounds like then I can recommend these guys

Run by a Brit called Chris and won't take the piss with prices.

I've used them for an interior swap on my ST and he's installing a new rear motor mount for me on Monday.

Hey Sam,

I drive a 2010 Clio RS. I had the same issue where it was metallic rattling noises from the engine. Turned out to be the exhaust manifold. At the time I took it to the dealer and they just replaced it. Still have the old one as a center piece in my living room :P

At the moment I have an issue with my gearbox and I went to a shop that was highly recommended by a few guys in an Alfa club.
Although I didn't do any work there (still waiting for budget for this job) I saw the shop and looks very clean and he sounds like he knows what he is doing.
Some of the cars he was working were BMW 2002, old school Alfa GTV, Ferrari 599, a bunch of Mitsu 3000GT, and a bunch of other sports cars.
The shop is called Precision Power Auto Garage, the gentleman that runs it is Ronald Sychua, his number is 055-8885819.

In reference to your question about a Renault Sport Club, I started a whatspp group not long ago, gathering as many Renault Sport cars as I can, we are 11 at the moment but looking to expand, drop me a text on 052-9540355 if you want to join.

Cheers
