Asterix,

Nice photograph, it's the view I had most of the day of a very similar Cayman S up & down Jebel Hafeet a few weekends ago! wink
Look forward to meeting others PH's in the Middle East in the near future.

I think a nice little drink s on the cards as well - now that we know what we look like.

I didn't go the the Barasti meet as I thought I'd get a slap if I walked up to randoms asking - 'Hello! Are you a Piston Head?'

Hey, beer sounds good. Couldn't make the last one either, so definitely up for a jar or five. When? Where?

Hi all,

So am I the only poor relation living in Doha? Everybody seems to be in Dubai. Glad to see this forum has been created though.

Still driving a Sebring courtesy of Hertz while trying to make up what to buy. Decisions, decisions.

cheers,
ss

Thought is was about time I posted on here! Well done on setting up the Middle East forum.

The Porsche is finally running again - nothing major, but rebuilt and tuned carbs - what a pain, valve gaps set and new points and it is running better than ever!

Passed its test as well so another year of fun to look forward to.

Also cleaned and polished so looking better than ever.

Hello mate - good to see you on here.

She looks as beautiful as ever - any more progress with the interior?

Yes, interior is coming along. I have fitted the headlining, new carpet and door cards. Also have new steering wheel to go on. New seats to come shortly. I will post some pics of the interior later.

Cool - look forward to it.

Btw - looks like there's going to be another Porsche day at the Autodrome on the 4th April. I'll probably be teaching again in the mornig and then doing the usual free lapping in the afternoon if you're interested.

Have to say James that the interior looked great - it's turning out to be a very nice car.

Shame about the hole in the floor but... meh!

Thought I would say "hi" to fellow PHers who live in DXB. I cannot access Photobucket from work so cannot post up any pics of what I have owned and have now (nothing special)

I have been in DXB for 3.5 years and am very active with another car forum here in the UAE and no, it is not DPH! hahahahahahahaha

Hello mate, all going a bit quiet now thanks to the weather but well make sure we have regular meets after Ramadan.

Btw - I saw your post about the Al Ain kart track - that sounds like a good outing for starters!
