i supposedly have sufficient points for 5 business class return flights, having done a reasonable amount of flying with them over the last 12-18 months

i tried to book 3 different business class reward flights with them for various dates (april, july, october) and various destinations and for each one was told that business class was full

funnily enough, for each flight i could have either:

(a) paid in cash for a business class seat, or

(b) used cash and miles for a business class seat, or

(c) used points for a peak (ie - rip off) economy seat

anyone had similar experiences with these jokers?

Not used my points yet as I don't have enough. But our company books for me and there bad enough to be honest with out Emirates causing problems!

Look at it this way the ladies are very helpful and the choices of movies is excellent! hehe

Tbh - I fly quite often but rarely use the same carrier - Emirates being one of my least favourites.

Oddly though - I usually pay (happily) for business and get the odd bump to 1st or Upper (in Virgin's case) without having any frequent flyer rubbish.

Emirates are getting pretty ropey. Flew to Singapore last week - outbound day flight had flatbeds, return overnight flight did not - how hard can it be to schedule the fleet to get that right?

My next two flights are booked with Virgin and Etihad since Emirates "loyalty" scheme does not appear to be honoured.

You sound like there's logic involved?

I only use Emirates if I have to - Virgin are my choice for UK flights - Cathy and Singapore Airlines if I'm going East.

Not a fan of BA either.
