Just wondered if there are tracks where you can bring your own cars in the UAE?

Yes, at Dubai Autodrome. Dates and costs listed on the website.

Next track day on the 20th Aug, registration is at 17.30

I'll be there trying to get some more time in the car before the start of the season

Have you got your Caterham over there? Do you reckon there would be a market for a track focussed (but road going) car for around £20k over there(with Emeratis or otherwise?)

Gulf Sport has just teamed up with caterham to start selling cars here. I gather that the local authorities are rather strigent on what they "allow" on their roads. Which is a bit barmy when you witness the every day driving behaviour..

Renualt have just launched the Clio 197 and it costs £12k, but I get the impression that there isn't a huge market for "drivers" cars. The Megane 225 has been available for a while, but you don't see many.

I guess the climate wouldnt be good for using a caterham (no AC!).

Spotted a really good track focussed car that looks lairy enough to appeal to the Emiratis and can be air-conditioned-

not sure if they are 'too rich' (ie they can afford Ferraris etc and so why bother with a 20k track car) or even bothered enough to go along to track days...

You would be very suprised at the cars that turn up for track days/evenings. Last one I was at there was an LP640 (yummy), plus loads of Porka's etc.

If you are looking at RHD vehicles, then it would have to be for more than just track days i.e. Open Saloon, Sprint challenge etc, which comes with a whole set of rules and regs which have to be complied with i.e. FIA approved equipment.
