Was the Pajero Evo ever sold in the UAE? I'm thinking when I move across there in a month or so that might be the ideal vehicle. Every commute to work can be a Dakar special stage!

Are there any other homologation 4x4's?

There are a few knocking about - most were converted to rally cars and are like hens teeth. However saying that there was one for sale about 3 months ago.

I believe that my PajEvo was the only road-spec car in the Middle East, complete with original Recaros. The few others (not many of them around) were converted to rally spec. Mine was converted locally in Dubai to LHD when it was new, I don't think Mitsubishi made any genuine LHD versions. There are a couple in Pakistan too, but they are being used in competition.

Had it for two years and it was brilliant off road - sand or mountain. Very capable. I sold it about 3 months back cos moved to Morocco from UAE and was concerned about getting spares.

Don't think it wil end up at a dealer - I had quite a lot of interest when it went up for sale.. ended up selling it to an Emirates Pilot who was going to keep it as a 3rd vehicle for off-raod use mainly in the dunes, mountains and wadis, and then let his son use it when he passes his test in the next month or two.
