Going to Dubai for 3 days in December. Looking for a decent visitors guide - most websites seem to be a bit patchy.
Looking for info such as
Best things to do
Best area to stay in for easy access
Best ways to get from said area to airport
How expensive/best method of travel is
I have read 'Rough Guide' books on previous trips to other countries but they just seem to lack something (i.e I foudn out a lot morei nfo once I got to the country.
In Sydney for example their airport is PACKED full of info on hotels and things to do - you probably wouldn;t even have needed a guide book with so much stuff there - is Dubai airport similar?

Buy a book by Explorer - they seem to have Dubai covered pretty comprehensively. I got the residents' guide when I moved out here and it was like a bible.. I think they do a visitors guide too. See http://www.explorerpublishing.com/
