And to get us in the mood for this weekend's Silverstone Classic (more available if requested - can't remember whether I've shared these before)...

Knew I had seen that car before!
And again! smile

yes The lightweight replica owned by the Minshaw family, usually to be found at the sharp end of the grid. Looking forward to the Classic, heading up tomorrow unfortunately without a camera! frown

I seem to recall Jon Minshaw saying one day that he owned 9 E-Types at one point! Classic photos to follow - great weekend wasn't it?!

I'd believe it! Good man was hoping to see some! Only made it up on Friday unfortunately due to work commitments, both U2TC and Fujifilm Touring Car Legends qualifying sessions were awesome to watch cool

Sadly my website's gone down and my host is on holiday in France so it may be knackered a while. No Classic photos for a while but might not be needed at this rate - plenty of good'uns already on display!

Chaps,

A few images from last weekend's Silverstone Classic. Not very happy with the way they've resized - all look a bit pixelated. But you get the idea anyway...

Boys, once again... bow

All the touring cars out in one race was epic, every time the 635csi went past I had an eargasm, possibly one of the best sounds i've heard! The fact the guy was thrashing it added to the theatre

Spent the day at Silverstone yesterday.

TVR, Mini, Porsche and Nippon Challenge which was good fun and a good mix of cars.

Great shots and looks like nice light to shoot in. Very crisp and cool shadows.

I have a batch from Oulton Park yesterday but struggling with my photo resizing programme. Anyone suggest anything decent?

To be honest I normally just use aperture and then upload to Flickr at full size.

I sometimes export at a given size and then upload to Flickr, not on this occasion though.

Yes they did have a one make series called the Europa Cup for the Renault 21 Turbo, it supported the European based Grand Prix rounds and ran in 1989 and 1990 having replaced the Alpine V6 Turbo that was previously used for the Europa Cup.

Massimo Sigala won the 21 Turbo Europa Cup in 1989 & 1990, the Europa Cup wasn't run in 1991 and in 1992 the championship switched to the Clio for the first time. Nowadays the championship has morphed into the Eurocup Renault Mégane V6 Trophy which forms part of the World Series by Renault package

The car in the picture is now owned by Bob Claxton but I understand it was the car that Michael Bleekemolen ran in the championship in period in full Samson cigarette livery. Hope that helps Chevron, I'll now take the anorak back off!!
